    I was wrong in my last post. We do have more information. TBS Newsbird is reporting that Shirley asked her husband to bring her the iryou taima (medical marijuana). It's the third story (after Olympics and Sumatra) but still light on detail.

    It was stupid to send it by post. Perhaps the person who mailed it, and wrote the husband's return address on the package, had malicious intent? I doubt we'll ever get to read the follow-up.

    I also wonder what is going to happen with Chris's Japanese citizenship. While he has that, he can't simply be deported, but neither can he claim support of the US state department. AFAIK, to have gotten the J-nationality, he had to swear that he had given up all other nationalities.…

    Not to wish the woman ill health, but I do hope that it turns out she has a medical condition. such as glaucoma, that she's been treating with marijuana and that that gets a lot of press and kick starts the discussion of medical marijuana in this country.
