I do not have a problem when any country killing any non-endangered animal/fish for food (excluding human being, of course) in its own undisputed territory/EEZ in a sustainable manner.
Question - What’s wrong with this?

imacat - I though all this is animal right issue. Is this Australia’s disguised territorial dispute? In that case, I will support Japan’s whaling in Antarctica. If Australia can exclude Japanese whale hunter from its disputed EEZ, then Japan can exclude Korean and Chinese fishermen from Japan’s disputed EEZ. I…

So far, it is obvious the CCP has been doing a lot better job than Japan did at the time of the Hanshin earthquake. Right after the Hanshin earthquake, the Hyogo governor was so slow to ask for the SDF’s help.
This time, the scale of the disaster is so…

There is no reliable data to show number of minkes are sustainable or not. However, almost all types of fish have been decreasing in Japan’s water because of overfishing. If they start to catch minkes without limit, I do not think minke whale’s current number can be maintained.

Reminds me of the early morning of 1.17.1995. I hope roads and railways are, at least in part, still functioning, and cell phone still working. As long as people stay there, they will suffer the shortage of food, water, doctors, and shelters. The lesson I learned from the Hanshin earthquake…

A couple of years ago, I had a chance to speak to a Tibetan high monk. We talked a little bit about food. I told him I liked to eat seafood and asked him what I should eat. He told me I should eat beef rather than seafood. He said,…

After the lay judge system go into effect next year, they will probably modify the criminal justice system. Then perhaps, we will see a news headline that says “Police didn’t stop Yaks firing guns right outside the crowded Toei-Oedo line entrance at 11:30 pm because the officers did not have…
