one of the ugliest cities in the world....I'd really like to hear points that make you call it ugly. it's actually very very impressively clean for a big city. I live in LA but its very well kept over there for being the biggest city in the nation

I hope I'll still be able to see this world one day when people aren't so separated by religion and race, each group of ideas attacking the other and simply just see each other as equal human beings. I'm only 17, so I hope one day that day will come while I'm still alive

I was surprised at what a negative reputation Soka Gakkai had in Japan when i visited this summer;;maybe its because Japanese people are very formal and "follow the rules" type of people? In Los Angeles where I live its kind of like "cool, ur soka gakkai. i'm mormon. lets go grab a coffee." haha. not "oh my god you are soka gakkai. "

Actually I was surprised to see comments about how skinny she is because...my first reaction to the picture was that she looks healthy and not all skinny, Her legs aren't stick thin, she has some stomach and a full behind. Shes average for a japanese woman her age!

yeah i dont really think...anyone that makes it big in Asia has what it takes to turn heads in America. We tend to be attracted to strong, edgy characters, not just cute little girls that look sweet and dress nice ..i don't mean it in any offense to Asian celebrities but you know, I mean I've seen Utada and Hamasaki on Tv here! Its just very..odd

and its also interesting on TV when asked what she liked to cook she said "I dont know because I've always had chefs make all my meals for me." and now she wants to date a guy that will like her cooking?!

i am so confused why the japanese idolize her so much. "kawaiii~!!!" I believe there are lines in her song that say "Give me chocolate, give me cake" or something like that? lol

i am so confused why in every article people pick at little parts of it and find any kind of fault possible in the story or strongly state they are a foreigner and then say what the Japanese do wrong. Do people take out the alienation they experience in Japan on this site through comments or something? I'm not trying to be rude I am just...so many complaints about Japan/Japanese on all these things.

73 year old woman out after 9pm going out to a pachinko parlor is definitely strange i agree with noborito. japan used to be so safe it makes me sad to see such a decline in the safety

"It never ceases to amuse me how many people care more about animal rights than human rights, in the West and in particularly USA." by PKG I completely agree, its great they want to do something for animal rights but why don't we concentrate on human rights first? for example the genocide we are causing for this 'beneficial', 'necessary' war in Iraq; or should I say bullshit war started for money and power? i do respect their movement for animal rights but I think 1,000 whales being killed is a rather small problem compared to killing hundreds and thousands of people in Iraq and U.S Soldiers.
