This could be something Japanese people wanted to do for a very very long time but had been restricted by national customs, habits. Now the can of worm is openned, people will over do it at first, but then will back to normal but more just society...perhaps.

It is funny to observe climate change crisis in most heavily populated countries like India ,China...I mean they should be the ones who worry the most because they have the most people, much more than anyone else. But nah, business as usual, full speed ahead...and guess what? they are so smart!

Be ware of governments worldwide who use this climate change banana to just do simplest thing as any government can do :that is tax and more tax...If they can manage to tax their citizens heavily now, they can always have advantages to bribe people DURING election time.

Be honest! As long as you still have countries with borders and different governments you can NOT have free trade. Free trade only work when Obama can stand for an election in China and Hujintao for election of US president.

PM Paul Keating once said : if you don't understand it ,don't vote for it. If you understand it ,why would you vote for it?..pity that Malcolm Turnbull could not play cool politics very well. If Kevin Rudd only wanted to look good at Copenhagen , why should Malcolm tried to help him? ETS after Copenhagen makes a lots more sense than before it.

If the climate change is true, we can't stop it regardless it is caused by man or nature... then government worldwide should have plan to move people from coastal areas to inland and start to invest much more into infrastructures there. As for us ,mere human, even we believe in climate change or not, we should do what we can like use less energy, reduce useless travellings, eat less meat more grains and vegies, plant more trees, try to live healthy life style so we don't rely too much on health system..etc and keep strict, critical eyes on governments direction.

While others have to cut this cut that in emission control, transferring wealth from rich to poor whatever, China only has to IMPROVE its renewable energy use and efficiency in production. In fact China position is the only one that makes any sense to me. I wish Australia could do just the same.

Too much head ,too little gut: too early to say. It will all depend on the outcomes. If the outcome is good , too much head, too little gut will be understood as so wise ,so inteligent , so careful, best president ever...etc.

In the ideal world McCain should be US president and Obama should be health minister because he so concerns with health policy. So US president did not declare Tibet is part of China like Obama did in Beijing or was refused G2 proposal by China...or take forever to have a dicision on direction of Afghan war.
