How the people of Japan who live along the coast line will sleep at night from now on, after seeing all that monstrous tsunamis on video times and times again? Will this affect prices of real estates (very close to the sea) world wide at all?

When I was living in Tokyo years ago ,my teacher only taught me about Hachiko. Thanks to the Internet , now I learn that the professor had two dogs ,Hachiko and Pachiko. Pachiko was more intelligent, playful, but its loyalty is next to nothing and its name is used for the famous "Pachinko" industry ( which I liked heaps)in Japan. interesting.

Such a beautiful and loyal Akita ken, Hachiko...why didn't the professor family keep the dog instead of giving it away after his death? Because of circumstances at that time? The poor dog had to escape routinely to get to Shibuya station and waited for his master.

Gadhafi already makes it too clearly that he will stay and fight to the death...no need for any further warning from anyone, Obama's included.

The presence of foreign armed forces will easily turn Libyan civil war into independent war. Gadhafi is not that mad, he may be right on this assessment: so , giving weapons to his opposition is the best solution.

Freedom of speech has a lots of laws, restrictions ,regulations..etc to control it for the BENEFIT of people at large. You can not use radio to just insult people, to teach people how to make bomb to blow up trains...etc. You can shout "shark" with intention to warn people a "real danger"but if not, you are in deep trouble.
Posted in: Does freedom of speech include the right to yell "Fire!" in a crowded theater, yell "Shark" at a beach or joke about having a bomb on a plane, for example?

Pirates killed hostages then surrendered? Damn , it will definitely cost American taxpayers more: cost of keeping them on ships, cost of transport ,cost of court, cost of jail...can it be just simple like the Russians or the Koreans?

Probably the headlines for these events in state-run media of both countries are something like this: people power revolt to overthrow monarchy swines and capitalism pigs. Long live socialism!:-). Anyway ,NK people are so strictly controlled, no chance. Chinese people, as long as there is enough jobs ,food ,water..., they won't risk their lives to fight a hopeless battle against communist government at all.

Somalia pirates are now thought to have link with overseas organized crimes who supply them weapons , accurate information of ships and share " profits".

In a country where there is no effective government, nothing better to do except becoming pirates: playing with deaths and reaping very large rewards..this way of life easily become a dream way of life for young man in Somalia ,no doubt. You can kill some but will not stop the problem . I remember ,after SK Navy killed them, they vowed to kill SK ship's crews if captured from then on.
