Celebrate today and in the next day people will realize they will still have to work to pay tax, levy, duty ;never-ending bills of education, gas ,car ,house ,food ,water,insurance..etc.

It is illogical and too greedy for Russia continue to occupy Japanese Islands. Be a good neighbor and trading partner, just return them to Japan.

I was surprised that Obama had the same "prediction" with ordinary people that Mubarak would give a speech of resignation on TV..not at all! Anyway if Mubarak did not intend to resign immediately why did he bother to get on TV and make any speech at all ? Because obviously that action will only be understood as a provocation.I agree with ElBaradei that the situation now is extremely scary.

@WilliB: my post about democracy with conditions of freedom is an attempt to answer SushiSake3's question (deleted). I think people will support democracy with freedom attached not just democracy (free election to elect government of majority).

@vladrin; sorry to reply late, it was the scorching heat in Sydney (40+ degree celcius). What I mean is in the chaos situation like this, one side can easily infiltrate the other side and do bad things and put blame on their opponents. They are all Egyptians ,and all speak the same language. Not to mention real thugs, real thieves ..or some people just want to create more chaos.

In a true democracy ,there is something call " innocent until proven guilty"; how can one be certain that all the bad things out there are all done by Mubarak supporters ? Mind you ,in a democracy, not only protesters have a voice, Mubarak supporters also have one too .

Democracy is messy ,it requires a lots of patience, thinkings, compromises,deals...mouth first ,not fist of fury first.

It seems to me that the protesters did not give president Mubarak a chance to retire with honor at all! Giving him only a few days to "pack his bags" is little too fast, too unreasonable...after all he is president for 30 years; his roots, his influences, his supporters must be all over Egyptian society. Naturally he needs time to organise a peaceful transfer of power . He can not lie because the world now all know his intention to resign, and neither the army nor Obama is on his side. Trust him a little ,give him time and avoid bloodshed.

"If you are a member of the dominant society, you're likely totally ignorant of the experiences of someone like Yee": NOPE, I am not a member of the dominant society; but through out the years I learn to keep good ,valuable comments and let useless, ridiculous ones be gone with the winds :-).

I had no clue of who Mr Limbaugh is, so went to youtube and searched. This man is obviously a clown ,makes money through saying funny things. Then how it becomes a big deal when he makes fun of Hu? If Obama does this ,its news...but for Mr L. its business as usual. Politicians in the West are all subjected to all types of comments, 24/7.

Banks refused to pay for flood damages ( through insurance) and people have to dig a little bit deeper to pay for it,its OK. Nobody will feel any pain, only better for helping ...and thanks heaven for Gillard not to chose SushiSake3's suggestion :-).

If your intention is all about "Independence " and you feel free to kill indiscriminately like this "suicide bombing", the other side will in turn feel free to kill you and whoever support you, everyone, even the so called " innocent women ,children".

I exercise much more regularly, almost every day now, than I was younger since I know more about the value of exercise on one's own mental ,physical , even spiritual well-being.

Recently there were unbelievable amount of rains throughout Australia which cause wide spread infra-structures damages and beautiful wild flowers/wild life scenes in the out back at the same time. In Sydney it becomes wet and cool summer so far this year, very pleasant. Queensland usually has "beautiful one day, perfect the next" weather, but not this year.
