** No one who thinks this decision is barbaric and evil should ever visit Malaysia as a tourist.**
If that's your whole criteria for visiting a country as a tourist, besides missing the oldest rain forest in the world, some of the most beautiful beaches and dive spots on the planet (Malaysia) you can also foprget ever seeing the Pyramids, the Great Wall, the Taj Mahal, Bali Island, and Sentosa Island in Singapore. OR, on the other hand you can see these places but don't bring your drugs with you.

Unfortunately for Ms. Yakeuchi, this is the kind of case Malaysia will push. If you hang a Malaysian for drug trafficking, it never makes the news outside of Malaysia, hang a Japanese woman and the whole world hears about it and Malaysia gets their point across about not bringing drugs into Malaysia. Nothing like being made an example of when it costs you your life.

Ok, I see, The Postal Ministry and private companies should NOT cooperate to provide services and goods to disaster victims. Let em freeze. Oh yeah, and all promotion girls should be ugly so they don't make the disaster victims feel bad.

I would suppose No.1s are no real problem (don't eat the yellow snow) but No.2s can be a bit if a stinker.

a friend of mine in California was busted twice for possession years ago (although he was not a dealer, he had felony amounts in his possession). Now he is a registered grower of MJ for medicinal use and gets to keep a small amount of his "crop" for personal use. He would have been facing a three strikes mandatory sentence if he had been caught growing before Calif. legalized it for medicinal use. Go figure. Anyway in Cal. your can get a prescription for "chronic pain", which means you just have to tell a doc that you have constant back pain from a slip in the shower.
One of the most vocal spokesmen for NORML is good ol' Willie Nelson.

How does a race car driver voice thier concerns about speeds?
This is not a new issue. NASCAR faced it years ago at the super speedways (Talladega, Daytona and Atlanta). The cars were just getting too fast so NASCAR introduced restrictor plates under the carburetors to slow the cars down. Some of the comments about LV being too fast for Indy Cars came from open wheel racers who have switched to NASCAR. They'er saying that in the stock cars at least you have a cage around you and a roof over you in case you get upside-down. In the lighter Indy Cars it's easier to get airborne and when you land upside-down, you land on your head.

@blackpassenger: You are a U.S. citizen, so start a petition, get a most of people to agree with you in 2/3 of the states and have the Constitution ammended to repeal the second ammendment. That is also a freedom granted by the Bill of Rights..........Good Luck.
@It's Me: Well that may be because most other countries started as monarchies, dictatorships or colonies of monarchies and freedoms are granted to the people by the governments that replaced or superceded the monarchies. In our case, the People empower the government......and restrict that power (see tenth ammendment in the Bill of Rights). So, as it stands, the U.S. government is expressly forbidden to outlaw gun ownership and cannot usurp that power without the consent of the People and the States.

@yabits:
No I don't think the framers of the Constitution were granting people the right to commit murder, I think some human beings abuse the right they have and therefor deprive other of their rights. I don't think the right to drive an automobile give the right to drive drunk or impared and kill people wither, I don't think the right to fly in an airplane gave people the right to smash them into buildings and kill people either. With some people it's just the "Gun" thing, Maybe the headline should read "Today 79,999,999 gun owners in the United States didn't shoot anybody".

I have driven in Miura many times. This is not like driving in the big city. Lots of very narrow roads with tight turns and houses and walls built right up to the roadside. Very limited visibility for drivers. Drivers must be very careful.

I have been working in Singapore and Indonesia for the past 2 plus years. About 2 years ago I saw an article on this very site where Japan was spending a ton of money on a "Cool Japan" PR campeign. Everyday there are fantastic tourism spots on television for Malaysia, India, Thailand, Vietnam and Korea. These are really weel done and make you want to go see these countries. "Cool Japan"? diddly squat, nada, zip, nil. So where did this money go? Bring 10,000 people there for free....you get 10,000 people. Do some real advertising, and you get tens of thousands.
