China tried to invade Vietnam in 1979 and got their butts kicked. I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again.

@Spidapig24: Just to remind ourselves, we might want to look at video clips from the Taliban era where women were summerarily exicuted just for being outside without the accompaniment of a male relative. the beatings, hangings and stoneings.

63 years old still needs to work and needs authorization to take a day off. Good to see how well Japan's "nenkin" system is working.

I certainly hope he consulted with the allies who also have troops in Afghanistan. The British have been heavily involved in the fighting there and have paid a heavy price too.

I just looked at a photo of this ship and it doesn't appear to have catapults, just the sloped deck. That really limits the type of aircraft and payload of each one, but still it's a huge step for a country who is trying to downplay their military build-up.

Good articel but tetonics is still an inexact science. Other geologists are citing the "football" effect (not sure where the name came from). but in that theory massive shifts on one part of a fault line DO load up other parts. Anyway, no reason to not stay prepared.

I cannot go through a giant bag of onions or potatoes either. Ridiculous sizes.
You gotta remember that the target market for COSTCO is commercial users. You, as a private customer, just reap the price benefits of buying wholesale. But for the most part the packaging sizes remain commercial although they do break bulk for a lot of items.

Nicaragua and Philippines should do well, both have strong youth baseball programs (Philippines did very well in the Little League World Series unti they were found to have used overaged players). Colombia has also produced some good players.

"In stir" usually means in solitary confinement, not just incarceration.
And, for those of you who thnik this guy is a victim of bucking the system and going against the "old boy" network....you are wrong, he thought he was above the system. He broke rules that are made for the common good, not to pander to the "old boys". He defrauded people out of their life savings. He belongs right where he is going.

Me thinks not all the information known by the police is not in this article. One scenario is the he may have acted out of rage, realized what he was doing, carried her to the street and called emergency services not knowing if she was dead or not. So she is pronounced dead at hospital and he goes on the lam. Dating site = call girl prostitution.

Just wondering why the story is datelined "CAIRO" when the event occured in Saudi Arabia?? Ahh Islam....the religion of tolerance. She's lucky this didn't happen in Taliban ruled Afghanistan or she would have been shot or stoned or given lashes at the very least.
