No, I didn't. I merely pointed out that some of what is attributed to Lincoln was not written by him. Both parties abuse his name. Reagan misquoted him. Gore has also.
The Democrat Party of 50 years ago would be unrecognizable to many young Dems. Read JFK's inaugural address to your average brainwashed college kid of today and they start shrieking "Neo-con!"

Lefties amaze me sometimes. You want 150 TV channels, competition between airlines, new i-pods every 9 months, a range of affordable import cars, a variety of cheap cell phones and user plans, imported foodstuffs, baristas who can fix your coffee 20 differnt ways etc. but you still demand that the gubmint, which can't even run the postal system, be entrusted with your health care.

Hamas thugs bused in from "Palestine" to help the mullahs intimidate and terrorize Iranian citizens.

Native Americans kept slaves. Africans sold their fellow Africans into slavery and the Mohammedan slave trade ranged from Russia to Ireland (entire coastal villages taken captive and sold in the Maghreb) to Africa. [http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/021345.php]
Saudi Arabia only ended slavery in 1962.
You would think some people here never learned how the story ended - the bloodiest war America ever fought in resulted in the deaths of over 500 000 Americans and nearly destroyed the young Republic but it ended slavery. If "Black America" were a separate country (and I don't mean segregated, like what the racist Farakkhan and Rev Wright want) it would boast an economy among the top fifth in the world. For a look at the purchasing power American blacks have see [http://www.targetmarketnews.com/buyingpowerstats.htm]
"White Americans" at the time the time you speak of were almost exclusively from Europe - where do you think they got their ideas about race and the "dark continent"?
You obviously feel pretty strongly about the issue. Done anything about it other than carp at Americans who are generations removed from the small portion of plantation owners in the South who practiced slavery?

"The American health care system is the joke of the so-called first world nations. It's a system for the rich, only."
From what country comes the vast majority of medical advances? Hint - It's in North America, but it ain't Canada...
"System for the rich"? That is all relative to where you're from.
Sorry, having worked in US hospitals and with many relatives still doing so I'm skeptical of your little story.

Fight the Smears! How dare they attack our president, the World President! Loyal Obama youth need to go after PETA! Use your community organizing skills - intimidate them, accuse them of racism, get "in their faces," remember Alinsky's rules and advice:threaten, ridicule, use aggression, constant pressure, use the goodness of people against them.

It's so bad even the Russians are saying Obama is too far to the Left:
"Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Monday criticized U.S. President Barack Obama's plan to raise taxes on U.S. companies' foreign operations, saying it would amount to double taxation that will hurt the global economy.
"This is a serious decision for the world economy," Putin said at a meeting of the Presidium, the government said on its web site. "If taxes are imposed on all companies working abroad, then it will mean the total destruction of the system for avoiding double taxation."

I for one am glad that Sen. Robert Byrd (Democrat, W Virginia) was part of this. He and his party had much to answer for and this was a good start.

Very fitting that a Democrat-controlled Senate should apologize for what their party did to American blacks in the South after the Civil War.
Good Work.

Sushisake3 - if you were more observant you'd notice I cite British, Canadian, Australian, Indian,Iranian, Iraqi newspapers, bloggers and media sources in my posts - from Japan, where I have lived for longer than you have been an adult.
I have no fear of foreigners, just a certain wariness of the ones like you who want America to become like whatever country it is you left for Japan.
90 percent of your posts focus on the same topic.
It is you who lives in fear.
Obama wants to bring fascism to my country. "Progressives" have wanted to do this since the 1920's.
You,son, need to study more history.
Simple as that.

What is Obama hiding? What happened to all the blather about transparency?
"Despite President Barack Obama's pledge to introduce a new era of transparency to Washington, and despite two rulings by a federal judge that the records are public, the Secret Service has denied msnbc.com's request for the names of all White House visitors from Jan. 20 to the present. It also denied a narrower request by the nonpartisan watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, which sought logs of visits by executives of coal companies. …"
