    Jean Colmar:

The man was sick. Not mentally sick but politically sick. Being that sick, he did not have the power to go mainstream and start useless and immoral wars, like the Bush-neocon gang.

No. The man was old and mentally ill. Politically, he seems to take from the worst of both sides of American political thought - which you clearly don't understand.

You really ought to take a look at some of Von Brunn's twisted writings. You'll find some similarities to what you often come here with - like you he was obsessed with "neo-cons", a term which even progressives will admit is often a byword for "Zionist" for many on the Left.

Japan Inc. is lucky, relatively speaking, that we in America have such an anti-capitalist president and Congress.

If Ahmadinejad loses I would still like to see him "debate" with Obama.

Never gonna happen. Obama is careful to never expose himself to any potential loss of status.

Pretty much all we've been getting from conservatives since the election has been bitterness, angry posts, frustrated outbursts and not much else.

I'm enjoying watching so many young Lefties try and defend Obama's already disastrous record.

Obama also prior to the election said that he was willing to bomb Pakistan unlaterally, so you really have something to answer for.

Absolutely. How can anyone forget the dressing down Obama got from McCain on that one.

    From the debate last year:

McCain: I'm not prepared at this time to cut off aid to Pakistan. So I'm not prepared to threaten it, as Senator Obama apparently wants to do, as he has said that he would announce military strikes into Pakistan.

We've got to get the support of the people of -- of Pakistan. He said that he would launch military strikes into Pakistan.

Now, you don't do that. You don't say that out loud. If you have to do things, you have to do things, and you work with the Pakistani government.

When we see that Von Brunn aparently wanted to also kill a few Weekly Standard employees after his shootout at the Holocaust Museum no one in the lamestream media is wondering aloud if 8 years of demonizing "neo-cons" maybe did a number on the fragile, messed up psyche of 88 y.o. Von Brunn, are they...

Maybe this guy was listening to some of the Rev. Jerimiah Wright's sermons.

Not far off. Here was Obama's former preacher and mentor, the racist, neo-segregationist "Reverend" Wright this week:

In an interview with The Daily Press of Virginia, Reverend Jeremiah Wright said that "Jews" are keeping him from talking to President Obama, a former member of the pastor's church.

"Them Jews aren't going to let him talk to me," Wright said. "I told my baby daughter, that he'll talk to me in five years when he's a lame duck, or in eight years when he's out of office."

What does quoting Bush (out of context, with no links to the original) have to do with Bin Laden's whereabouts as of June 2009?

Politico has this about the nutjob Von Brunn:

"FBI agents visited the offices of the conservative Weekly Standard magazine yesterday after a shooting at the Holocaust Memorial Museum..."

    [...]

Two other sources said two FBI agents arrived shortly after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the 17th Street offices of the magazine. They told staffers that they had found the address of the magazine on a piece of paper associated with the shooter, James von Brunn, and asked whether the Standard had received any threats.

The magazine is about a mile north of the Holocaust Museum, and there's no other indication that von Brunn had targeted it. Von Brunn's published rants included attacks on "neocons," and the Standard has been at the heart of the neoconservative movement.

Generally the reformers want improved relations with the world, letting people interpret the Koran according to their own consciences with regards to dress, improvement of the conditions of women, etc., etc.

Generally? Care to be a bit more specific? Maybe a few names and some verifiable links?

"etc., etc" gives you the kind of credibility smithinjapan has around here.
