I am so displeased with this article, I am saddened and furious at the same time. What makes this a real tragedy is that, if you're a parent , you need to know where your kids are at all times. If you are going outside to get the mail, move the car, etc. It is in the best interest of the child to have someone supervise that child even if it's just for a minute. That minute may cost them their life. Children are careless and that comes with the package but there are so many tragedies we as parents can avoid if we are more cautious.

People out there saying... it wasn't that great...I wanna see another one... I wanna,,, these people are so spoiled and unappreciative to celestial events. Those are people that can't get happy with simple things. Those are the people that always shoot too far and never really reach their goal. Shallow people...

Up here in Tochigi the skies were clear and the eclipse was breathtaking. I saw it through high grade welders goggles and I even took pictures. Thumbs up for this event, the next golden circle eclipse is going to take place here in about 300 years from now. I can't wait......

It's better to watch the results around you. Listen to birds quieting down thinking its night again, the lights going on automatically and the horizons to each corner. It's the most beautiful experience to see especially in ones lifetime. If y can't witness the actual eclipse, it's just nice to go outside and feel the magic around you. A free celestial show.

By the way, for people out there thinking that going to court was gonna fix this, let me tell you. By the time it actually goes to court and a settlement is done, it would have taken a couple of years, a lot of money and countless energy and frustration. The Japanese court system is not helpful, useful but not helpful.

Well this article is so short given that the articles in Japanese newspapers give more details of the motive to the attack. By the way, his whole arm was not severed, only his hand a little above the wrist. And the other two office workers were stabbed in the torso and the buttoks. The reason for the attack was more than just not repairing his mansion. It was constant phone calls being hung up by the president of the company and office personnel not calling back, no repairs, broken promises and breach of contract due to failure to repair his apartment. If you or anyone is pushed enough and you feel so angry because the promises are not being made.... I'm sure anyone will go to extremes. I don't condone his actions but this will set an impact to all realtors not to make empty promises and not piss off customers. What I do feel sorry for is the man who lost his arm. He did get it reattached but it's not the same. Next time he carries a grocery bag with that hand it will be a long time from today. Too bad that office workers claim to workers compensation doesn't cover this type of injury. In Japan he will have to sue the perpetrator. Needless to say, if the perpetrator is not wealthy, he will have to do time for his crime. If he does happen to be wealthy, he's not wealthy anymore.

Nice... So above all this, where are the jewels and who has the money? If he gets sent home, doesn't that give him a chance to pay someone to get him out of jail? I am sure anything is possible if you have the cash in Montenegro. C'mon it's Europe... money is all you need to get out of any prison in Europe. This is all an inside job.... if not, a very lucky hand was played.

My comment may sound rude and irresponsible but TEPCO was and has been responsible. If you look atall the red tape that they have had to cross over, its overwhelming. COMPENSATION- if ever, will be set on what she was valued at, a teacher, a lawyer, a housewife etc. BTW housewives,by law, are valued that much. He'll probably get a toaster oven, if that.

I hate these kinds of news. I hope her parents find peace and the driver can sleep. He had it bad too. I have seen first hand what these truck driver do, how they drive, and how they don't care about pedestrians. He should be locked up for a couple of years, have his license permanently revoked and not to mention, a fine plus the suit from the family. This should cost him a lot.

I personally think that TEPCO is not responsible. She planned and executed her own death. If her family wins this suit, so many other people are gonna screw TEPCO over also. This case is not valid in any way. Suicide was not the answer. We have to remember that this was all from a natural disaster and Fukushima Daiichi Genpatsu was just the aftermath of a serious but inevitable chain of events.

Well let's not start finger pointing, what was she doing at his place in the first place? And not to mention, why meet him again afterward? Japanese women should understand the dangers about going to another mans house, especially in another country.
