I spent $340 / night for a family of five at the hilton Tokyo bay. Then, I had to spend another $30 for breakfast for 2 kids (they only included 3 meals).

The hotels are a rip off. Like most of Tokyo.

You misconstrued my comment. What I said, "treated like hired help" should have been translated more like, "similar to what rich people do to their hired staff; butlers, maids, house cleaners, etc...". the point I was trying to convey is people in Japan generally do not treat restaurant workers…
