The article says he took the girl to a hotel and "continuously touched her body".

He needs to be in general population at San Quentin. That will teach him that "touching" is wrong. Maybe he'll get to get acquainted with the Tossed Salad Man.

This guy needs to go away.

Seriously, she's ok. But there's a lot better. And there has to be some hips somewhere.

    Worried,

17 years of marriage, 3 kids, and we are just fine. It can work, you just need to find the right guy.

So you can say that all men have an assigned job of bringing home the money and shutting up? I really feel sorry for you. You must have found the wrong guy, and for that please do not blame all foreign men for your problems.

Worried, nice way to champion the japanese woman regardless of reality. There are a lot of women that become, as mr. Smash puts it, "breaks his back". And this means that once kids come out, just shut up and bring home money. I see it a lot. Japanese women tend to be really nice and caring until marriage / children. Then it becomes a light switch where the purpose of the man is to bring home money. Nothing more. And that is wrong.

I have been fortunate and have a great woman in my life, but please, do not say that marriage failure and child abductions by Japanese women are purely the fault of the man. That is disingenuous at best.

I think USNinJapan2 was just trying to be a bit light hearted about the whole deal.

The pump is from a company in Augusta, GA that donated it for use. They were using it, but said Japan needed it more than them.

I think Japan is doing a good job as far as broadcasting the sheer magnitude of what happened. But because they were slow to respond (the government), they have been downplaying quite a few things, but the nuclear issue more so than others.

Actually, I think if china showed up with a real naval presence in the Senkaku/Daiyo area, a really big ship named after Mr. Lincoln or Mr. Washington would show up as well.

Yes, there is a Us role here, and Hillary defined it.

I don't blame Rumsfeld so much. With Saddam in power, any uprising or "peaceful demonstrations" would have been met with mustard gas and mass killings. Tens of thousands of Kurds lost their life to him, and the people in the southern part of Iraq, in Basara, were also systematically killed because they wanted to get rid of Saddam and his sons.

Left leaning libs don't understand the fight until it is facing them, they will always cower at the thought of a strong military.

You have to admit, he had some of the best press conferences:

Reporter: Can you tell us what the battle plan is (whatever area in Iraq)?

Rummy: What did I just tell you? I will not tell you what we are going to do, as it will kill our young men in harms way. (then the stare like the reporter is 3 years old).

I don't think Islam and the Muslim world need Hollywood to address any stereotypes. Just turn on CNN, Fox, CBS, NBC, NHK, OTV, BBC, etc... and they will have all the evidence they would need to prove that their being persecuted falsle....Hey, wait a minute.

Tahoochi: No. It is because those in Japan that want to use will get it somehow, but the prices are probably astronomical. Plus the fact that it is an island country makes getting the drugs in more difficult.

I agree, that tough penalties are great. No need for drug dealers. But to blatantly go on a witch hunt for a "famous person" just because she may be "Associated" with these dealers is crazy. The problem is the dealer network. Stop that and you cut it off at the head.

I think this could have been handled a bit differently:

The woman should have gotten a really good look, then laughed her butt off and pointed "Chichai, ne" and this dude would never, ever do this again. It strikes at the very idea of being a man, and he would be embarrassed and run away.

So if these dealers put Naoto Kan as a customer, would he automatically get a jail sentence? Seems like the J-Cops put more faith in phone records than actually seeing the woman with any type of drug. Typical bumbling keystone cops. And yes, a waste of money going after someone who allegedly "used" the drug.

And she can get very lost down there. As long as she has enough money to live for a lot of years. Pay off the locals and she'll have no issues.

I think you're point out the "not so obvious", and that is good. And showing that the US alone is not the bad actor here is also good. Of course, the DPJ and LDP have had to do these back door dealings to get things done, but the absolute ineptness of Hatoyama really came through.
