Laohu, that's managerial engineering. the science of talking and doing nothing. he did a postdoc at TIT, then he could only get a position of assistant prof at Senshu. I'm not exactly impressed by his academic career.

Tmarie, apparently he was questioning her about some suspicious phone call. maybe it's only me, but I completely hate the katakana "darling" (like in "was is your Darling today"), and I hate when Japanese girls talk about themselves using the name (like in "just broke Uno's phone", instead "my phone".

by fleeing he basically asked for arrest, regardless if he was actually of fault for the accident. a not very wise decision in a panic situation. but some details about the accident shouldn't be reported as well?

the roads near stations and other central locations are completely jammed with these guys. police doesn't say anything. more than half of the taxis running at night are without customers. and 90% of the cars running at night are taxis. something is wrong here

biglittleman, actually in Japan quite many of them chose to become homeless, there was a program on TV about it. just depressed with their sararyman life, or they were fired, or were kicked out by wife, etc. and I would ad that being lazy or doing many bad choices in life is also a matter of choice. Of course, there are many unfortunate cases as well
more details: what bike was he riding, SUzuki Hayabusa? did he have a license?

the title is wrong, he does have a job :) so this guy is a homeless and sleeps in some park, and the police thinks he stole 70 million yen. he probably donated it to charity? note to myself: do not carry 60,000 yen in your bag.
