Syn he gets people talking that's for sure. While I don't disagree with everything he's done, he certainly doesn't seem to care about the publics wants and needs. The blinders have come off for a lot of people. I hope this actually makes them give a damn and demand more from their government. As ut is, they don't expect much and get very little in return.

Sadly smith, probably true! And sadly, yes, the person responsible isn't the one stepping down - though lets be honest, he should be fired. And then the family should sue him.
Honestly WTF?! The chief should be suspended without pay and all those involved fired.

Ah yes, regrettable. Honestly, I wish that phrase would die out. The only thing that people regret is that they got caught. For once I would love the news and spokes people to roast these companies with comments like "they were selfish, they stole money and tried to hide it. We're going to prosecute them to the full extent of the law".

Yuri, the guy was honest and this passenger could have reported him. The problem with that thinking is that it is okay to do whatever as long as you don't get caught or apologize and continue the bad behaviour. Good for this guy telling his boss rather than word getting back to the boss. It is stupid of people to hide and lie about issues but that's just how business is done in some parts of the world. A little integrity never hurt.

I get that this is an issue but what about all the truck drivers using their cellphones?! Everyday I see truck drivers, various sale's guys in their phones while driving. That is actually against the law but I have never seen anything done about it. Very few train accidents and yet numerous car accidents - many due to cellphones. Perhaps the public - and the police - can deal with that as well?!

Fine by me. Save our taxes and put it to better use. Perhaps if Noda wants to celebrate he can grab a blue sheet and celebrate like the rest of us?! There is no need for such things to be paid for by us. The government and celebs make enough cash that they can celebrate on their own.

Hojo, with the exception of guns, those other problems are all in schools here. Just because you didn't see them doesn't mean they don't exist.

Just because no one else is good doesn't mean Hashimoto is good. People keep making this mistake. He might be the better option than most but that doesn't make him a good option!!

Keeping it classy Hashimoto... This guy just keeps making enemies which gives me hope he'll be a one term mayor and will then crawl back into his hole.

Honestly, if the father had taken a bat to this kid I have no doubts the father would have been charged. If this was my family, I would've taken matters into my own hands - and been charged for protecting my family. No wonder people have little faith in the police here. Usually I will defend them but not in this case.

Hold those responsible for negligence. Japan needs to start taking stalking seriously and start dealing with the issue.
Have to "laugh" that the article below this is about the increase in numbers of stalking cases. How do you not accept a report anyway?!
RIP to those who died because of this. The family should sue.

Indeed, not everyone but why chance it? I'd rather not be hit by some idiot who thinks they are fine to drive when they aren't.

Impressed that the board is doing this. Wonder if there will be an English version of the book. Plenty of companies should be looking at this case and worry about themselves.

** He is disliked by the bleeding-hearts in Canada because, god forbid, he made some cuts to the liberal arts forcing a lot of tax-funded "performance-artists" off the government teet. Meanwhile he has presided over a robust economy that was largely unaffected by worldwide economic turmoil. Oh, but his worst sin is hailing from Calgary,Alberta, the worst place in the world according to the latte-sipping, horn-rim gasses wearing, Mateus wine-drinking, 10 years in University studying Philosophy crowd.**
Well said. He's not perfect but many Canadian need a smack up the head when it comes to what they think they are "owed". I am shocked by the sense of entitlement but so many Canadians when I go home. I am hoping he takes out a lot of government workers who really need a reality check when it comes to how unimportant their jobs are.
I was a long supporter of the liberals until I started paying taxes and looked at how easy those who abuse the system have it. Help those in need but stop making it a better way of life to sit on the pogey and not bother to get off your butt to get a job. He's called this and many, many liberals just can't seem to understand that things like this ruin the country.

How about he stops putting HIS agenda first and looks at what the public wants?
What can be done is how about Japan gets rid of this daddy hands down his seat to his son and lets the incompetence continue? How about the Japanese get rid of the "shoganai" attitude and start demanding answers from their government? The public has created this problem and look the other way and play the poor me game with how badly this country is being run.

Res, bigger bins means more weight which means more fuel. Your ticket prices will go up - I stated that in my very FIRST post so perhaps you could read MY posts?
I am not bitter at all. I just think it is unreal that airlines make rules and follow through on check in luggage weight and look the other way for carry on and then make claims that they "need" to make the bins bigger. They could easily solve the problem by training their staff to check the carry on size and weight.

Anti-depressants? But people are prescribed anti-depressants to take every day. You think people should be banned for driving for taking things which help with their depression and which doesn't always lead to extreme side effects, at least not with everyone. Don't apply your own sensitivity to cold medicine onto everyone else. Lots can take cold medicine and find they don't get sleepy or hyper. Untreated depressed people driving is IMO more dangerous than those who have taken steps to deal with their situation and are on medication.
PLenty of people suffer side effects of the drugs they take - they just don't want to admit it. There are warning labels on things like cold meds BECAUSE so many people suffer from side affects. On some of them it clearly states that those taking the drugs should not drive or use machinery. Perhaps you don't mind people driving who shouldn't be but I do. Mix anti-drepress with anything including cold meds and watch the side effects. Thing is, people always think they are fine - many are not.

Tend to think that anyone on drugs regardless of what they are shouldn't be driving. I know that cold medicine either makes me really sleepy or very hyper and I won't drive when taking either. Anti-depressants, weed, alcohol... should all be banned for those driving.
