    Which ones, specifically?

Any ones with fish and nori for examples. Specifically? You think I know the names of the stinky ones? I stay as far away as possible!

I won't even begin to discuss the noises people make here while eating...

I don't get this. I don't find Japanese men "shy" for the most part - except for the otaku and well, those type are shy everywhere. My husband doesn't let me walk all over him - some j guys did to be fair - and he's not one to prim and fluff about his appearance. INdeed, j-guys get slammed all the time and while some deserve it, many others don't.

This article is crap. Not only is it stereotyping Chinese guys, its stereotyping j guys. Boo!!

Prized maidens? Hahaha! You've got to remember that more Japanese men marry foreign women than the other way around...

It was about the smell of the food, and fast food, on the train being a powerfully smell that makes people feel hungry. Some bentos stink as well. They just don't have the staying power that fast food does.

Really, do they need to warn people of such things? People, please take care when feeding your kids beans.

People, all is fine in Fukushima, please move back...

I see a problem, anyone else??

people trying to get on a train often did not move to the side of the doors to let people off. They just stood there in the middle.

Wow! People move where you live? Where I live and have lived, everyone crowds around the doors, no one moves when people try to get on and off unless pushed out of the way. The people waiting also don't wait until passangers get off. I don't get it - common sense to me. Let them out so I can get but...

His line worked, but what kind of girl did he get for it?! The average Japanese women who is more interested in money and being told what to do rather than work for it herself and think for herself?

How many foreign guys do you know with Japanese wives/girlfriends who can't speak his language and he can't speak Japanese??

Ogi, she still has the same attitude problem and self important and entitlement issues. How quickly the public here forgets how much they hated her... Memories like goldfish.

I said advanced manufacturing, which clearly went over your head.

So everything Sony makes is not? Glad you can admit that. Hence the comments on the other thread.

She can wear what she likes.

Indeed she can and I can comment however I like.

I get the appeal of her but wish she would realise that she's not 20/30 anymore. She's a smart women but the clothing she wears... she's got a great body but man, what has she done to her face? Why the Superbowl wants her now is beyond me.

Well said Cleo - and I feel exactly the same. After dealing with a Sony Viao years ago, I have never ever bought another Sony product - and never will again.

Who was the nut on here who was going on about how Japanese companies rule in tech and whatnot??

TO test? I thought they were testing all along - which is why I knew about the milk mixing where high levels get mixed in with low levels and when it is under the legal limit, it gets sold.

How happy am I that I have been buying things from around here - or, at least the label states it is. Not that I 100% trust that!

Christ, this country is a joke.

They hardly even speak the language.

So I guess that nihongon kentei test and result of 1kyu means nothing... ALL of the Chinese students I have taught have had great Japanese and wouldn't speak to anyone in broken Japanese. Playing on stereotypes of stupid foreign which is not the case for most Chinese students.

Add into that the Chinese would have to overcome some pretty nasty stereotypes from the locals, well done to them. As Nicky said, you snooze, you lose.

Herb guys have always been around. As I always say, if you want to blame someone for this, blame their mothers!

So wait, they don't have to pay anything back enough though they are now boasting of profit? Something is wrong with this. Why bail them out? Give them a loan. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I don't fly JAL because I can't afford it and yet, they still manage to get my money.

Personally, just the smell of someone's fast food on the train annoys me. I don't see people eating often on the trains here. Nor drinking. Don't have a problem with drinking to be honest.

The shoulder sleepers get a good elbow to the ribs. It is bad enough I have to sit in such close proximity to people I don't know but when they try and use me as a pillow? They get woken up with a jab.Only a few times have I had to actually tell them to stop it. The look of shock is classic. How dare I interrupt their nap?! ALWAYS young folks. Never had anyone over the age of 30 try and sleep on me.

As for the poster, as usual, cute and ineffective.

Again, why are you so hostile about this? You rule the country with being allowed to smoke where ever you want. Why can't you learn to share and support a non-smoking section.

Again, what are the locals suppose to do who are "home"? Perhaps you should move to the Czech republic where it is allowed anywhere?

HImajin, don't ever feel bad for looking out and doing what is best for your family! Like you, I am saving my pennies (and have been telling my parents for years they better save theirs) as I am with you on that.

Beth, have you ever had to give 24 hour care to an adult sized baby? As many have stated, a baby is a bay and easy to look after. You can't compare this with looking after your parents/elderly. I also doubt you have the training on how to move them from bed to wheelchair to bathroom (if they are lucky enough to still know they need to go), do you have the training to deal with oxygen, meds and massages that they may need so they don't lose certain body parts. You're being very judgmental. Putting a family member into a home is one of the most heartbreaking choices my family has ever made but it was the best choice - for everyone.

I am now watching my stubborn FIL "look after" his mother and the care is pathetic. He and my MIL are doing the best they can but it isn't enough. She needs a home. He won't put her in one - and there are none anyway. I personally think she's losing her marbles and bodily functions because she's not getting the care she needs. Heaven forbid you ever are put in the situation and people question what you do and why.
