And to Kaketama San, from what I know men are still better paid here no matter what the age is. And the working conditions of the women are gradually improving, hmmm this I doubt.

I used to work as a chambermaid in a medium sized hotel somewhere north. I was asked a couple of times to pass a white note given by a group of women to another table of men's group and before the shokuji ends they're already as one group. Whatever happens after was out of my concern. But reading this article made me wonder if this is not related to prostitution. My apology to the others who are really travelling alone to enjoy simple and new friendship and nature appreciation.

Now, the game begins. And that is again and would be again and again. It would be line tagging. When will they ever be working for the common good? Despite of this, they'll be receiving their salaries and extra allotments while poor people like me are dreaming good things will still come out of this mess.

It's not that the parents don't lay down strict dress rules. I know of a friend's daughter who go to the convenience store and go to the trouble of adjusting the skirt's hemline before going to school. It's peer pressure and the feeling not to be left behind. Matter is as some tv shows and articles pointed out before and most men's opinion, the hemline is way too short similar to other countries' prostitutes. I remember way back in my time and in my country then, the school, a private , sectarian school I attended was so strict that no one would pass the gates if they wore no chemise or that the uniform was shorter from the knees. Well the uniform was white and so wearing no chemise was very conspicuous.

No matter what and how many talks they make with the govt nothing is going to come out of it. There would still be clashes. The ODA to the Southern Phils doesn't serve its real purpose because the ultimate dream of every Muslims in Mindanao is secession. The peace loving civilians are caught between loyalty to the Phil govt and the militants. At times them having to pay taxes to both.

There are children who really listen once reprimanded and abide by the home rules. But there are those with soft character and are easily chided by their peers. Threatening the kid's goods could either make him follow rules or create greater enmity.

Japan may seek help from the Phils? I doubt it. If ever it would be mutual since China's soaring to No. 2 and its extra territorial aggresiveness is a problem for both. Here's hoping for peace and cooperation for Asians and the world over.

Besides, respecting is not getting something that is not meant for you. Companies have two 10-minute breaktimes, one in the am and another in the pm. Aside from the 1-hour lunch break . Surfing for news or checking e mails during those periods is ok so I think. In between is plain stealing. And why do you think monitoring came about ? It's because there are rats who play when the cat is away. For me, I won't bother those security cameras as long as it's not in the toilets or changing rooms. Iam doing my work to the best I can and whoever is monitoring my movements is also doing his job too. The hell I care as long as it's not in the toilets or changing rooms. That ios respect in my point of view.

Even if you just check your mail during the 10 minute breaktime using the company's computer, wouldn't that hurt? It's like stealing. Granted you did it for a minute or two Mon thru Fri for several years, how much would that be? Unless of course you're checking your mails and news alerts via your cellphones during breaktimes who are we to bother you. Yes you can do it provided you are able to finish your job on time. But then again most salaries are calculated on a per day basis which to me means a salary for an 8 hour day work. So if you are able to finish the required 8 hour work earlier because of efficiency /diligence, still morally wrong to do nombiri time. The best is to busy oneself with company related preoccupations. Well so much for my ideas. The bottomline is I'm out of work again. lol

Might be morally wrong but if I'm the owner of the company and I choose to do it then I don't need anyone who won't oblige by my rules. I once worked in a company with an installed security camera at the gate, entrance of the building ,along the corridors and inside the factory itself. These I considered ok. When one time a new camera was installed in the breaktime lounge where I always had my lunch alone at first, I couldn't resist making some cheers sign in front of the camera. Whoever was assigned to monitor it had boring time so I think. Would my comment be deleted again?

Because Iam jobless now and I might be wrong but isn't it as soon as you time in, the company pays your time and as such should endevour to use that time for what you are being paid for irregardless whether you are doing your job well or not? More especially if is a regular employee and hence receiving priveleges such as bonuses, retirement plans. Isn't it that workers from even the lowliest to corporate levels are in truth selling their own nombiri time in exchange for money or salary and hence receiving salary while doing nombiri time is okashii desu ne! I wonder if my comment would be deleted again.

Yappari, the Chinese hasn't gotten over with the news of being the world's no. 2 economy. And with some powerful chinese backers who are long time residents in Japan, small wonder why they are so arrogant and already putting pressure on the new PM. No, I'm not anti Chinese. I'm actually half Fil, half Chinese. And I agree with the rest, any country has a shameful historic past yet we have to move on and learn from those mistakes that war or chaos brings out the beast in humans. I don't want to be discriminated from being a Filipino just because Ferdinand Magellan, a Portugese who circumnavigated the world in 1521 was killed by a Filipino. Or asked Japan for lifetime repentance for having an ancestor impregnated by a Jsoldier during the war and at war's end had her and the child in her womb killed by a bayonet..

I don't have anything against the Muslims. The extremist s in whatever form is what is not viable in a peace-loving world. Win-win, peaceful co existence is what i adhere to.And being a Filipino for my whole 54 yrs and knowing that in the south and some remote countryside all over where guerillas tax civilians and knowing that some foreign aid are being funneled to these very people make me very sad for my country.

Asagao san, haven't you heard of foreign people who were kidnapped while vacationing or doing missionary work in the south ? The people behind that is abu sayyaf, a local group which is believed to be a part of al qaida. Some were released after paying "board and lodging" fees(the govt and the negotiators didn't outrightly said ransom) and some were beheaded. The board and lodging fees ran to millions of dollars knowing those victims lived in mosquito infested, bedless, tapless environ, millions of dollars as board and lodging fees were outrageous. The JICA funding in the south is done in good intention but the militant Muslims there are real adherrents of cessesionist movement and nothing else. Foreign aid come in the form of schools, roads, water and electricity aside from spiritual elighenment but these I think make them believe that they can go on as a separate country. The real purpose is defeated.

The Japanese don't realize that there are both christian and muslim rebels who are married to Jdescendants and are already here in Japan with permanent or long term visas. Why would you think they'll have their talks here of all places! Those people are terrorists in the real sense of the word. JICA funding in the southern Phils is at best helping out these horrible group. My country is just small with so many islands, so many exotic culture and beliefs. Those Muslims are innate part of the whole Phils. yet their ultimate goal is independence. As if the Phil govt and the Christian community is harassing them. With their so called civil war down there, they are making the country poorer and the civilians there very pitiable. Look at Nur MIsuari, during Marcos time, he was given a plea bargain to go to Saudi. There was apparent peace then but for all you know he was there harboring and planning how that independence could be achieved. In short , once a terrorist, is a terrorist. No change. Leaders like him and the one in Netherlands live a good life to the expense of both the host country and the Phils while the idealistic adherrents are suffering back home.

And who knows if it's a contracted killing from one gang against another. The old man perhaps was a senior gang member if not a boss. The killer would be out of jail by the time he reach 30 and he knows it for sure. Everywhere in Japan things like this can happen and the story behind the news never get out.

Worked in Takata Hikone plant for 10 months. There were 4 hakken kaishas then. The factory is running 24 hours and ran by fairly good J men. Problem was there were no insurance whatsoever even unemployment insurance. So everybody wanted overtime hours just to get the 25% increase with no real care as to the quality of products. Wonder what happened to the others during the economic upheaval in 2009. And even now I still wonder why medical examination was not given to a certain group, like the yakkin where I used to belong.

How come they did not asked the city hall for help in cremation and why they did not asked for living welfare? Could it be that the dead died due to unnatural cause? If not apprehended, could be planning to receive the child allowance unscrupulously? If so then, could the life of the surviving child at jeopardy too? No paternal, no maternal instinct whatsoever. Too much material wealth, too poor inner human emotion. Lots of humanoids. Most Japanese must be made to live the life of povery in third world countries like mine for them to appreciate the beauty of life that is Japan!
