    ouch

“We understand it might be beneath a worldwide celebrity of Barack Obama’s magnitude to appear at town hall meetings alongside John McCain and directly answer questions from the American people, but we hope he’ll reconsider,” spokesman Brian Rogers said.

I guess Senator Obama has succumbed to his party's own brand of the politics of fear...

Sen. Obama grows more like George Bush each week. He is a Bush enabler!

Off shore drilling is just one more Democratic principle Sen. Barack Obama does not stand for.

He now opposes gun control, he supports limitless funding for Iraq, he's pro death penalty, and he flipped on FISA .

No wonder he is tied with McCain...

McCain defends web ad mocking Obama

What's to defend? Polls now show the two are even. The ad worked.

I'm still waiting for V-p choices...

It is full of drifters, dopers and people from the bottom of the barrel.

Many of em bound for BC. That's what you get when your number one cash crop is marijuana.

Another "inartful" comment from Sen. Obama - -

“He doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bill.”

I'm starting to worry. Maybe the senator needs a V-p who is even more at sea with the English language than he is, to help deflect the increasing scrutiny and the skepticism; it's no longer just the rightwing blogs that comment. At this rate I'm worried even Jon Stewart might poke fun at him.

Maybe Pres. Bush needs to step aside and let Senator Obama continue his world tour, he could woo Red China.

On Wednesday Senator Obama said he realized "I have become a symbol of the possibility of America..." I think Red China needs the opportunity to partake in this. I hate to think of how they'll react if they're left out of the revolution it looks like we are coming to.

Not so much 'compare' as 'contrast', my friend.

Thank you, smithinjapan. I guess you COULD put it that way.

So you are voting for Sen. Obama. I see. But, how can we be SURE we arent gonna get four more years of James Earl Carter, massive stagflation?

The rapper Lewdacris (sp?) wrote a song COMPLETELY dissing Senator Clinton. And he is Sen. Obama's favorite rapper; so I'd say Sen. Clinton is probably off that Veep list!

Once again, Red China shows their true colors. At this rate it will take an Obama tour of their entire country to bring them into this century.

Barack Obama is a rock star. I don't understand why he feels the need to compare himself to G W Bush.

Flip-flop, flip-flop... four more years of Bush indeed, except that where bush was just plain stupid, McCain is getting more and more senile every minute.

So smithinjapan - - you're voting for Senator Obama? Or are you a Nader guy?

Rebiya Kadeer is a leader of the Uighur community, the largest and overwhelmingly Muslim ethnic group in the Xinjiang region, who joined her US-based husband in 2005 after six years in a Chinese prison.

There must be some mistake. Why would a Chinese dissident who is a MUSLIM come to America FIVE years after Bill Clinton left office?????

Good for Senator Obama. This should dispel some of the criticism, from his own party surpisingly, that he is often seen as being a little too effete.

Too bad John Edwards got caught last week in Beverly Hills visiting the floozy who is mother to his love-child. He would have made a good veep. Maybe Sen. Obama should go with Joe Lieberman...

Wei Jingsheng served 18 years in prison in China because of his writings against the communist authorities and has lived in the United States since 1997.

That's TWO that could have gone to Canada or New Zealand but went instead to America.

    Why?????

Once the costs of redeployment are paid for, he'll have upwards of $15 billion spare a month.

So you are definitely voting Obama then?

I reckon that Obama, with his worldwide popularity and his rock-star status, would have no trouble getting Iraq, its neighbors and even Europe to help defray the costs America incurred freeing that nation of Saddam and defeating al Qaida. I wouldn't be surprised if Canada and Australia pitched in. On the downside, since he is a Democrat, it is possible that he'll scrap certain free agreements that have so greatly benefited Canada Mexico Japan China India Australia Vietnam Russia Central and South American nations these last 7 years.

As for McCain winning, please don't crack such jokes when I'm drinking hot coffee! Kudos for the laugh, seriously, but it'll never happen.

So, I guess smithinjapan is also voting Obama.

    That's Ok. I'm still undecided.

How does Obama figure his plan to DOUBLE the capital gains tax is going to stimulate our economy...
