Amazing. Dedication and expertise so profound they worked around the drastic and ethically troubling methods of using embryonic cells. Bush vindicated; the scientists win, America and the world wins.
"Kudos," as smithinjapan likes to say.

"Acknowledging a sex scandal he had dismissed as “tabloid trash” only last month, Edwards said he had told his wife and family long ago, but “I had hoped that it would never become public.”
So did our Lamestream media. That's the even bigger scandal.

Did McCain vow this? Cuz this is what I recall -
Last month, at a town hall meeting in New Hampshire, a crowd member asked McCain about a Bush statement that troops could stay in Iraq for 50 years.
"Maybe 100," McCain replied. "As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, it's fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al Qaeda is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day."

Your point has no relevance on this thread.
It's not about George Bush.
It's not about Iraq and regime change and liberation that Congress approved.
It's about John Edwards and his lies and galling hypocrisy.
John Edwards, in 1999, condeming his fellow Democrat Bill Clinton:
“I think this president has shown a remarkable disrespect for his office, for the moral dimensions of leadership, for his friends, for his wife, for his precious daughter. It is breathtaking to me the level to which that disrespect has risen.”

Easy, tak. It hurts Obama because anyone who watches Paris Hilton's vid has to admit that she appears every bit as qualified as Obama to be the Democrat nominee.
You can disagree, but you know what it would mean -
you must be some kind of misogynist.

As you so often ask on the Iran threads - got proof?
Nothing highlights the int'l Left's hypocrisy on Iraq more than the constant barrage of wildly inflated casualty figures.
You never cite Iraqi sources.
Because in truth the people whose sovereignty and rights you claim to champion actually mean nothing to you.

The Nation magazine, in an open letter to the naked emperor-would be, has warned Obama about his campaign. I'm guessing that is why he is going negative.
"...Since your historic victory in the primary, there have been troubling signs that you are moving away from the core commitments shared by many who have supported your campaign, toward a more cautious and centrist stance--including, most notably, your vote for the FISA legislation granting telecom companies immunity from prosecution for illegal wiretapping, which angered and dismayed so many of your supporters."
Signers include: Barbara Ehrenreich, Tom Hayden, Eric Foner, Studs Terkel, Katrina vanden Heuvel, Gore Vidal, Howard Zinn,Juan Cole, and various other sentimental Lefties.

McCain must really have the Int'l Left quaking in their Burkenstocks. They have no say in US elections but they are here like clockwork every day obsessing about his chances. Relax. History shows the Dems have this one wrapped up.They can't lose. If there was any chance of their losing Obama would tack to the middle. Right?
Besides, things don't get really serious til after Labor Day.

What about it? When you look at the context his 'plan' differs little from how we dealt with Germany, Korea and Japan.
We've been in Japan 60 plus years. Does that also bother you? Why remain if it does?

How can Obama link McCain to Bush when Obama is getting more money from Exxon and Mobil than is McCain?
Yup. Read, weep, gnash teeth, wave hands in the other guy's face, change subject...
"Much has been made of Barack Obama's TV ad this week that accuses John McCain of being "in the pocket" of the oil industry, and yesterday the Democratic Party launched a website pairing McCain and Exxon Mobil as running-mates. While McCain has raised considerably more money from this unpopular industry, CRP was surprised to notice that it's actually Obama who has received more from the pockets of employees at several of Big Oil's biggest and most recognizable companies. Tallying contributions by employees in the industry and their families, we found that Exxon, Chevron and BP have all contributed more money to Obama than to McCain.
Through June, Exxon employees have given Obama $42,100 to McCain's $35,166. Chevron favors Obama $35,157 to $28,500, and Obama edges out McCain with BP $16,046 vs. $11,500. "
