Did they intentionally forget to say "Love Hotels"? I believe that would be the only Japanese theme hotel. Unless they count non-smoking rooms that stink of cigarettes; one towel per day; cleaning ladies that enter your room even when the DO NOT DISTURB sign is out; one inch thick dust clouds under the beds; used soap and a sign that says, "Please help us conserve our environment"; check-in after 3:00pm only and check-out by 11:00am; "Parking for your convenience available" - but you must please pay a charge - limited to 17 cars only - have a nice stay"...

Never knew that coffee could actually be spoilt until I visited a Kohikan and any UCC supplied shop. The amount of undeclared low grade bean (ie Vietnamese) that goes into every cup is just too much to bare.

Why doesn't Japan ever bring up the subject of submarine lubrication? One might understand why the nuke sub owners are so worried about mass market slaughter by Japan. Australia is playing a double standard by ignoring the big five's annual whale hunts.

Scrote (nice name) : to answer your question, you'd have to go to the real story of Zimbabwe. Mugabe has the upper hand in that he's the original 'victim'. And as I've been saying for almost ten years now, his adversaries challenged him for an issue that was not related to Zimbabwean land but ended up having the land used as a weapon against him. And the election 'winner' inadvertently got himself mixed up with that lot - in fact they launched his political career for the sole purpose of hitting Bob. He's aware of that now and also of the fact that he stands a super chance of being exposed. This is also the problem for the international community. They know the back ground and have very little to say if Mugabe tells them to take a hike - since they sat back while he was attacked ('97). No one has the moral right to call anything on Zimbabwe at the moment.

Deja vu Zimbabwe. Here we go again. If these 'elites' are allowed to continue pulling stunts like this in countries that suddenly accept the democracy that they've pushed for for the last fifty years... The international community needs to take note of what is going on here.

How indeed do we call this one? The usual suspects blasted the elections as rigged. Their horse came out in front and now the polls were regular. The African observors who said they saw nothing wrong during the polling were called Mugabe supporters. Now the same Africans are blasted for not calling the same elections free and fair now. No wonder my country is in such a mess.

We're in a hep a' truble as they say in Texas. And out there the wells were drilled decades ago. They just keep on pouring that crude out - turning the pumps on an' off according to the space in the holding tanks. And in most areas little granma's with the land sitting above the oil don't get paid a penny - they use lateral drilling. The law says if they drill on your land it's your oil. But drilling under from the side is not in the books. That was what led to Kuwait being hit in 90. They drilled under Iraqi fields and bragged about it. Actually the Texans set up the service. In Britain the government takes commissions for the concessions. And besides most of the infrastructure is virtually state owned or heavily subsidized. We're definitely in the wrong field.

Usaexpat: I'd go on reading "My pet Goat". Yeah I hear you but we have to realize that the debates were unfair - Clinton's Whitehouse staffers on the panel? Even all the CNN commentators are Clinton staffers... It's like home court advantage even when playing away.

All victims have the partial culpability factor hanging over their heads. And rape is no exception. A guy goes fishing when a typhoon is coming what does society say when he needs to be rescued. Police always question the victim for culpability - see road accidents involving one or more cars, see gunshot victims - were you playing with the gun/where were you standing? The crime of rape consists in the unlawful sexual intercourse with a woman without her consent (in Japanese law). When most victims simply walk into a police station days after the alleged attack there is little sympathy the police will offer. A rape kit cannot be used, evidence can hardly be collected, the crime scene is no longer possible to examine... the chances of the crime of false accussation grow. If more women advocates pushed women to join the police in greater numbers the ability to carry out immediate examination to prove the crime did occur as reported grow. In many countries rape task teams comprise of women investigators. Japan has so few police women that at the moment they are making justice for their own kind near impossible to deliver.

The cows are coming home... The lies are catching up with them. Japan is far from self sufficiency in dairy products. There are so few cows in Japan that most of the milk we drink is actually reconstituted Aussie and Kiwi powdered milk. Cost of shipping and cut backs in shippments due to boat shortages is causing the shortage. Besides, China is offering more to Oz and NZ. Supplies are drying up. This is the land of false economic reports hence they're never prepared. In fact they actually start to believe their own lies to the extent of looking for counter measures on the same lies - eg. how to fly in extra feed.

Rezko? Are you guys dim witted or pretending to have no memories? Clinton's super-duper Asian 'fund' raiser is in jail - Colorado is it? The phoney speeches Bill does as a guise for Hils 'contributions' from Punjab... Heck were are the receipts for the speeches anyway? Come on for crying out loud. He gets paid by the Colombians for a speech in Bogota, Cuidad Mexico and Costa Rica???? Then there is Ferraro spewing racist drivel at Obama and nobody gripes. ANd now the Revs "if you have white folks... they'll be clapping like this y'all..." being played minus the "Black folks'll be clapping like this..." illustrating the Europe vs Africa music timing...

America will take a long time to recover from the damage Clinton is causing by 'reminding' whites that they're backing a black.

The only reason blacks never went postal through all the abuse is their church/churches an'wannabe churches. Cut this guy and god really help you. Rewind to Tyler Texas and picture the blacks that drove into ton armed to make Blackwater merceneries green with envy. Black anger is a ticking pyrotec.

Not too sure about that but he could pull a Lieberman and do it. He is already registered so that side of the 'rules' is OK. The party affiliation thing would be the thing to worry about. But I really see no reason he should even be calling himself a democrat by now - can we call Ladbrooks or Jimmy "the Greek" up in heaven?
