    No wonder it's such a problem for the US - they still don't get it. The families of victims that is. These two creatures are the only guys the US can say were involved in the plot - and the US had them how many times before they committed the attacks? Let's see now - drive-by attack on CIA headquarters, resident in New Jersey planning against the first World Trade attack which the FBI chose to ignore when warned about, the Philipines bombings and bomb building the CIA refused to look into... Why were they taken to Gitmo? The US could have interviewed them in Pakistan and Manila. The guys that ended up in Gitmo were mostly people picked up by Pakistan's notorious "I'll give you a terrorist if you pay me" secret service. Hey we have guys taken from Zambia that have never seen a muslim in their lives rotting in Gitmo.

    There's no way the US makers will ever be able to sell their vehicles in Japan until they do another Perry - twist their arms or shut them out of the US. It's amazing how the people used to promote Japanese makes always tool about town in Hummers, Fords, Durangos, Caddies etc... Before Ford bought Mazda Mazda executives bad mouthed the product. When I asked for prooof of product experience they said "JAMA tells us".

    In Africa we find that they actually cause hunger. They eat secretly while the rest of the tribe is out scavanging, working far from home or in school. Ever wondered why the photo of a starving child shows the poor soul sitting in the dirt alone? The mother doesn't look like she's from the same household/huthold - huge. Folks this is not meant to diparage my fellow Africans but there is a situation with women when it comes to eating.

    What???? This is a scandal! They're just using it as a cover to syphon money from the government. The kite hit some geese. It took a plonk into the dirty Hudson. The passengers wet their feet and rode the Jersey bound ferries - without tokens - that's where the investigation should be... Now Cpt Sulley's making a mint out of the incident and the NTSB wants to investigate for a year?

    Shame on you Mr President! These men are heroes who should never have lost their jobs, let alone go to prison (for saving the US from vermin!). Johnny Sutton's the one that needs to be behind bars. I hope that President Obama corrects this wrong - gives them back their jobs and compensation plus wipes the slate clean.

    Tezbo: You should be seeing the heroics of this man's deed - ie not fighting back. Far too many Marines and other service personnel get arrested in Japan for defending themselves yet nobody believes it. Thank god this guy's training worked - unlike in the guys you seem to think he should have emulated. A good marine defends the integrity of the unit and not his own dignity.

    This is the original case of habeus corpus gone out the window. This man was taken out of the Vatican embassy. He was sent up for ten years - back in 91/2? WHo the heck is counting? He is still in prison! And he was an ally.

    bebert: not quite so. "Mazda designed and engineered the Escape in Japan for Ford". The vehicle was a complete joint effort - and it was mainly conducted less than a minute from my office. And Ford strongly distanced itself from the scam. In fact Mazda execs asked to be indemnified should the scam become public knowledge.

    I know the stuff - I wondered why the press never realized that phosphorus was being used. There is no other substance in an army's arsenal that could be mistaken for white phos so the article writer is being biased to not say directly that Israel's using white phos on troops or civilians.

    The auto industry is up the creep and they've sweating. The alternative fuel charade is going to be the death of them. I remember Mazda buying fifty Ford Escape hybrids meant for retail dealers, taking them down to Texas, rebadging them as Mazda's and disguising them to look like limited production vehicles then leasing them out to California fire fighters for a whopping sum - they called them Mazda Tribute Hybrid Prototypes. Ha ha ha... so much press coverage was generated for Fords in disguise. And the idiots that leased them had to fill out so-called prototype development surveys every so many months. That was three years ago and not a single firedepartment caught on to the scam.
