That is a lot of pressure for somebody so young. Too bad he felt like he had no choice but to turn to drugs.

Great post. I always cringe when I see or hear the words "Defined a generation" when referring to a TV show or movie. When should we let that ever happen?

I've heard that before about Romney, but I can only put my finger on one thing that he flopped on, which was abortion. Can somebody tell me the other things?

Obama never actually answered the question, which was "When do a baby's human rights begin?"
Instead he side-stepped it and proceeded to justify his belief in pro-choice or abortions. He could have elaborated and said that he didn't believe a fetus had rights.

Hmm, I've actually done that before, I would have been walking for 2 hours late at night. They really didn't have anything better to do because they were playing 'go'.

Nippon5, you are right that bullying will never be eliminated, but we can try.
You can't control the human mind, but you can influence it. If all kids were raised well with upright morals and respect for others, I'll bet that you'd see a lot less bullies on the playground.
Short answer: It starts in the home.

That comment is amazing to me. Obviously in the presented (and hinted) context that an extra marital affair is ok, most of these comments are on topic, including the ones that actually are giving "better" tips on how to be unfaithful. But thank you stevenleeburton for bringing some sanity to the board.

Taspo, eh. A somewhat dubious device if you ask me. Therefore I don't believe the profits came mostly from cigarette sales.
Now, Melon-pan sale increases.... there's a market! :P

Well, she was crowned Miss Universe Japan by official judges, so somebody must think she is worthy to go to the pageant.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and judging just by her looks, I bet most of the guys posting here would love to "be holding" her.

This show is not in its "purest" form. It is still run through a filter of sorts for the American audience. The spectators (probably Japanese citizens) have various noisemakers when they are "cheering" their favorite team on. Also, the spectators appear they are fake-laughing.
Many have told me that this will do nothing for the stereotypes and misunderstandings that already exist in the minds of some Americans.
Still, the show makes its point, and is over the top with crazy games that only Japanese producers could come up with. It's still entertaining, and it is a great chance for another sliver of the culture to come to light. That's the entertainment culture.
