yabits: not buying it for a minute the left and right have both swung to their respective sides. Your going to tell me that Nancy Pelois is a moderate? You have to admit both parties are guilty of padering to their bases to have any credibility. Like I said there are a lot of people in the middle who really can't find much redeemable in eather party.

Thank god, but she will be back and that's not a threat as much as it is a certainty.

NO, NO and NO! I am not a believer and don't care if people publish pictures of Mahammed on the carpper. You do not get to say what goes in my country as we protect free speech. If you want to issue fatwas calling for the death of people who defame Islam go right ahead in your country. Muslims do not run the world and we will not submit to demands that limit our freedoms.

Personally I think the jury member was absolutely right. I think they should be able to react honestly to the replies a defendant gives. I probably would have said something stronger.

She's hot and I love the coat regardles of what PETA thinks. Maybe she should skip the jeans and shirt though, just the coat would be fine by me.

Tigermoth, your assessment of the religeous right and the liberal left generally follows how I see it as well. Voting has become a real problem as I'm a fiscal conservative and a social liberal. I'm proud to be an American and wish we could get our moral, financial and social footing back. The religeous right scares me and they've hi-jacked the Republican party. The democrats have shifted far enough left that John F. Kennedy wouldn't be among their ranks today. Where does that leave us in the middle? I tend to believe for the most part America is center right or center left. The problem is that our whole political process has been hi-jacked by fringe groups, special interests, and those that scream the loudest. The political discourse has been reduced to soundbites and "hot button issues" it's really very dicouraging.

5speedracer5: You've hit the nail on the head where will moderate Republicans go in 2012. At this rate they'll stay home. I'll probably write in Ron Paul if he doesn't run again.

Goo Jorb: Not isolationist but fair free trade. America doesn't manufacture anything because of the cheap oversees labor. A country that is supposedly a world power can't survive only on banking and fast food jobs. American companies need to be taxed on their oversees operations and CEO compensation needs to be aligned to further job growth instead of just cost cutting. I'm getting a little off track here but the point is selling out to China has gotten us exactly this a two tiered society of millionaire CEOs and everyone else hoping they don't have their job outsourced.

Well going to Uni makes it easier to find drugs. In seriousness though what is a producer doing giving advice on being a caregiver. Am I missing something here. Also, won't the income be a bit lower than she's used to?

This is the most complicated piece of legislation ever devised that will not improve a thing. The insurance companies were on board the whole time so do you really believe the consumer will get a better deal? I think not. Also I don't believe for a moment that this will decrease the deficit, who di the accounting on that former Enron executives? There are a handful of simple measures that would address the biggest problems. Bar insurance companies from denying pre-existing conditions, make health insurance portable and allow people to buy over state lines. These measures are the most important the rest of it is a cobbled together mess that is certain to end in failure.

1000 pro-life right wing nutters who actually think this empty headed idealogue will return the GOP to power. It's amazing how people seem to live in a bubble and think that while they're part of a narrow minority they really are in the mainstream.

mushroomcloud: Why do you thinking we have to go begging China for money? Could it be that Obama is spending more than he should? By the way, I'm not a hypocrite I think every overspending politician in the US ought to be tossed out and all the free trading that has decimated the US workers needs to end now. I don't blame dems or republicans they have been equal opportunity when it comes to the gutting of the middle class and selling our futures to China. One more time, China can't be trusted and the US needs to get its financial house in order because the national debt is a national security risk.

Obama's pledge to treat China as a trusted global power is a belly laugh. China is not, should not, and cannot be trusted so let's hope the old boy was merely spouting some nice words or we're in real trouble.

If the GOP puts Palin up they are guaranteeing and 8 year Obama presidency. Most of the Republicans I know don't think she's qualified. I could never vote for her because of her stand on social issues. Come on GOP get smart a give us a fiscal conservative, social liberal to pull independents like me.

victimcrat: "They seized our embassy it was an act of war" Well and maybe true but our reaction led to a 30 year "cold war" was it worth it? Is it worth it now to refuse to negotiate with Iran, tell the Japanese to get their oil from elsewhere etc? American's on the whole don't get it we have to deal with Iran like it or not and bombing their nuclear facilities won't cut it.
