The health bill is a bloated monster but what I question is whether the Republicans will have the guts to keep the good parts. The reason the insurance companies went along with ending coverage limits, ending recisions, and not denying pre-existing conditions was because the Obama bill delivers new customers that more than pay for these losses. Will the Republicans have the guts to repeal the bill and still demand these protections for consumers, I can't see it happening.

Good shot, I have to say I've never been here and can't get my mind around people keeping horses in Tokyo.

Let's hope Obama listens to the Indians on his visit. They are saying they are the US natural business partner not China. I am not a fan of lopsided globalization but I would trust the world's largest democracy far sooner than the CCP.

Will Obama move to the center as Clinton did? He is in nearly the same position as Clinton was in 1994 but I don't see him being able to let go of his agenda. Bill Clinton was a pragmatic politician and less of an idealogue. By the way America would probably elect him again if they could.

So the father is a minor, how close in age to the mother? I assume the boy can't be say 17 or he would definitely be charged with rape, must be close in age to the girl. This is a prime example of why you better know what's going on with your kids. Have the talk early because kids are having sex much earlier than you think.

The problem with this study is that it is examining things more from a societal / social view than the actual injury to the user. Alcoholics most certainly outlive meth users which at the end of the day is why most people don't use hard drugs. enough said.....

Agenda: F the middle class, handout more money to corporations who offshore jobs, repeal the healthcare bill. Any questions or should we be painting up the "Mission Accomplished" banners? Remember as long as we talk about "god, gays, and guns" we'll get the people to vote against their own interests.

I'm a moderate independant and have voted Republican as often as Democrat. My problem with many of the candidates we are going to see swept to power is that they are from the far right fringe. I don't see anyone with an answer to our economic problems. People have a short memory, they threw the Republicans out for vague notions of "change" and now they're inviting them back just 2 years later.

I agree with the majority sentiment here. What purpose does Aziz' death serve? Iraq seems to have been a better place before we "liberated" it. Sadam was a thug but no worse than many others we have supproted for convenience.

Great in another 2 years it will be Democratic victories. Both parties are bought and paid for by special interest and could care less about the struggles of the middle class. I'd say it's about time for an armed rebellion to clear them all out.

Has to be done, until the foreclosure mess is unwound the housing market will continue to suffer. The freeze on foreclosures just draws out this painful process.

I always wondered why weed came in from Mexico as it can be grown anywhere in the US. You can grow it in your closet in the middle of winter if you're so inclined. It's the prohibition that drives the drug cartels so just legalize it and tax it.
