Wow just going to trial now? The guy should go to jail not the nut house. You can't tell me that kidnapping a girl and keeping her as a sex slave didn't register as wrong and illegal with the perp.

Banning handguns would only work if the police searched every residence in the country and confiscated the illegal guns. That's not a fun proposition as the government already has too much power over our lives. I don't own a gun and never have and would be perfectly happy if no one else did either. The problem is that most of the killing in the US is done with illegal, untraceable guns. Tell how you're going to get criminals to hand over guns?

The foreign abusive husbands reasoning of not accepting the Hague convention is so typically Japanese. Obviuosly Japanese women need to be protected from those foreign devils. I read something about how she claimed she was afraid of her husband, well I'll tell you if my wife stole my kids she'd have something to be afraid of too. Now for the matter at hand, it looks like the father was completely correct in his assessment that his ex would flee with the kids. The Tennesse court allowed Noriko to "take a vacation to Japan" and look what happened she didn't return. The court in Tennesse may have "recognized the father's concerns" but obviously didn't realise what a huge problem Japanese law is.

A travesty on so many levels. The Japanese government will of course be complicit in THE MOTHER'S KIDNAPPING OF THE CHILDREN and harboring them in Japan. These cases really piss me off. Where is any concern for the father's rights to see his children? Not to go too crazy but maybe the take away here is if you get divorced you should consider getting rid of your foreign spouse before she abducts your kids with the approval of the Japanese government.

Why does she need to undergo detox? It doesn't sound like she was more than a casual user. I think the real answer is in the title of the article, she's just hiding out.

Halting the project after so much money has been spent and people relocated is just as dumb as starting it in the first place. Taj: right on the money and not a positive sign of new leadership.

Global warming may or may not be a concern but what is surely a concern is further damaging the economy with cap and trade. Capa and Trade will be the death of the global economy and the holdouts like China, India and the US are the only ones with any sense.

Unlike Iraq which should never have been pursued Afgahnistan must be won. The fact that a failed Afgahnistan would aid in a failed Pakistan (with nuclear weapons) is reason enough. Commit as many troops and resouces as necessary and get it done.
