cue the sinister music.... Just by looking at this guy you have to figure he's guilty. And what's with the mental competency bit? Obvisously to kill and butcher your sister you're nuts but should still go away for life.
Patrick, Japan's legal system is far from perfect but so is the US and many others. To argue your point which I assume is a fear of executing the innocent you need to have statistics on false convictions. How many people do you really believe are wrongly jailed here?
As we all read the horific headlines each day of killings and such why would Japan do away with the death penalty? Why should we feed and house murderers and rapists for years at a time. I think my main objection is that people are on death row for far…
I miss daylight savings time actually. Back home in the summer you have sunlight until 8:30 or 9 at night. I always wished they would just put it through year round as in the winter it would get dark at 4pm.
Sad news, she seems to have had everything going for her. Suicide is usually something reserved for people who's lives are in free-fall which doesn't seem to be the case with Ako Kawada. What a shame and a tragedy that she didn't see any reason to carry on.
The shoes gave it away? Not the facial stubble or the fact that he was a 30 year old man? I can tell you that I'mm 33 and wouldn't have a chance of passing for a school girl.

At first blush I'm going to say that McCain has a much better chance of getting vetran's support.

He's catching up to Bush in terms of approval ratings. So if people are so unhappy with their leaders how come they don't vote the LDP out of power?
