I think the fact someone considers THIS to be progression in accepting gays in japanese society just about explains how "widely accepted" it really is.

I really don't know... by announcing there will be financial incentives for accepting debris is essentially labeling anyone that accepts it as taking bribes. Its perceivable that they would bribe people without anouncing it correct? So why anounce it in the first place, or was the incentive prior not sufficient? And as such towns were not accepting the debris. I must admit it is true the government has not done anything to warrent trust from its citizens but at the same time how does a society function with no trust at all. Does anyone really think sealing off a chunk of japan as contaminated really the solution here we should part take in? even if that is the case, weather conditions does move the air born waste subsequent to incineration so, how far is safe? how far is not?

This is all wrong, everything is so messed up, the government should be concerned with holding tepco responsible, facilitating the payout to the eligible victims, not how Tepco is ran. I mean anyone in the government with sufficient knowledge and credentials in nuclear physics would be actually working in that field and not for the government.
I mean if I burn down someone's house "by accident", would I be the only one involved in assessing the amount of conpensation I should be reimbursing them for? Would they file a request with me, and i could deny their claim? If I was poor, would I just compensate them less? Crazy!

This is the best idea ever, they are asking the government for more money which supposedly will be easily recovered, claiming this will increase effeciency and save the people some much needed yen, AND has paved way to lay off people and reduce costs. Ingenius! Only thing is, if this is such a great idea, why did it take so long for them to make the investment.

That was unexpected. Why would they release something like this without approval of funds? I mean, were they intending upon pressuring the government to provide them with the funds by prereleasing such promotion? If that was the case, it sure back fired.

On the collusion and lack of responsibilty shown by the jgov and tepco, I only have this to say, as bad as it may sound, and I truely believe the situation is bad in regards to transparency, responsiblity, and due diligence; at the end of the day, I believe regardless of what anyone thinks, Tepco HAS to be the one to clean up the mess, to think that anyone that has the nuclear expertise and authority to do anything, but is not actually working in the nuclear field, and would want to go and clean up this mess, is quite ridicuous.

Why isn't the newly established 3rd party agency (that collects funds from nuclear companies from across the nation, and got the government grant) handling the payouts, then billing Tepco for the payouts with Tepco being able to challenge on a case by case basis. Lets face it, if Tepco never established the neccessary safety procedures or proper training for its workers at the plant, they sure as **** didn't hire people to handle payouts in case of nuclear meltdowns. Payouts should be based on whats fair and reasonable, not how much tepco can handle financially.

How is this ground breaking? Do companies have posters up that say if you're not a fresh grad, don't bother sending your resume? Seems standard practice to me, you open the avenues and if the candidate is right for the company, you hire them. You don't limit yourself to one single avenue of recruitment, or better yet, what they are doing now, limit yourself to multiple avenues of hires.

A divorce isn't the end of the world, people can't always make the best / correct decision, I mean life goes on.
Though I would agree that alot of her movies are not oscar worthy or anything, but I dare say she at least tries to break out of this "tarentino" mold thats put on most actress her age. Whither she is successful, is debateable. She has done some non sense comedy movies that i happen to enjoy, but she has also ventured into more dark movies such as harmful bug as others have eluded to. She has also starred in atsu-hime, a more historical drama.
Sad to hear, wish her the best in the future i suppose.

So what has come to light isn't sufficient to suspect any criminal activity? So if no investigation is carried out, how is the criminal activity supposed to come to light?
Urge the company to make timely disclosure? so are they asking the company to investigate itself, as if one isn't needed after this improper accounting practice spaning 10 years? So their investigation is asking olympus to investigate itself?

tl;dr(comments)
is there any significance in this 100 degree mark? nuclear fuel doesn't have the same boiling point as water right? Doesn't really say much that it has gone below 100 degree, what was it 3 months ago? 1 month ago?
thanks,

Tepco definitely played a part in this ordeal and are indirectly responsible for some of the lost these small business suffered but at the same time, it should not be Tepco directly determining how much and actually reimbursing these companies. Tepco is in the business of Nuclear Energy production and distribution and as such should abide by the rules set forth inrelations to that. They should pay fines for not putting the proper safety procedures and precaution to avoid what would be a reasonably forseeable natural disaster. Tepco is NOT in the business of determining the impact that a natural disaster combined with nuclear contamination would have on small business and facilitating this pay out in accordance to it. It should be the Government / the nuclear agency doing this. If every compensation is funneled through Tepco, than WTF was that agency that got all the government funding established for? for fun?

Am I the only one that thinks this shouldn't be handled by TEPCO itself in the first place? Shouldn't that newly formed Nuclear safety agency be handling the pay out process, with tepco being able to challenge on a case by case basis with the safety agency itself? Doesn't make it any less complicated but its not like it was gonna be give me your claim amount and desire form of payment and thats all.
