Weren't Honeywell the maker's of the instrument flight database that nearly landed a UA 747 in San Francisco Bay a few months back? The pilot aborted the landing when something didn't feel right, and he suddenly found the plane out over the water. Turns out that corrupt data had been fed into the system.

The word 'terrorist' is being used a lot on this thread. Is what Bethune did really terrorism? It seems that any time governments want to silence a protest group, or aggressively control some people against their policies, they label it 'terrorism'.
Terrorist - a much abused and very over-used word.

ANA have a lot of self check-in equipment at Narita airport. But always there is a staff member there to manage it for the passenger. No-one seems able to use it on their own, it's menus are not particularly user-friendly.
Interestingly, the Immigration department have also set up electronic self-check devices, but you still have a human screening the passenger at the end. Again, I saw only one person using it, assisted by two officers.

They have the "salaryman" spirit of circulating memos for everyone to put their approval, vis a vis passing to each other all the time, with no-one will to take responsibility, i.e. take a shot at goal. Might work in a company advertising pitch, but not on a football pitch.
