An fully elected upper house is un-necessary for a unitary state like Japan. But it to be in Japan's nature to fill in the gap that was left by the abolished Lords chamber.

I'd hate to see Britain adopt anything similar to the HoC when they eventually abolish their House of Lords.

“drawn no conclusions and released no data. We will follow the facts and inform the public when our investigation comes to an end.”

Translation: we already know most of what's causing the faults but we won't tell Toyota what they are. In the meantine we urge Americans to buy American.

Just a coincidence that a dolphin/whale show, the kind of entertainment that is spread throughout the western being made of an example of animal cruelty happened to be a Japanese establishment right?

The Japanese government is also to blame by collaborating with the Americans to establish whore houses near the bases.

now how about Tokyo to Singapore. United Service Sucks and ANA is just too expensive.

Ask Jetstar's parent Qantas to stop codesharing with JAL on the route.

It's safe to say that the High Court judges of this nation's obsession with suspended sentences spared Bethune from a direct trip to the "no-underpants" slammer. Whether you break a baby's legs or stage a quasi-prank on the high seas, you'll end up on the streets either way.

Says the J-basher, WWII happened 60 years ago, Japan is now a stable democracy and yet this kind of hate speech spews.

Japan cannot detract from its self-sovereign duty to defend itself with its utmost capacity with respect to the size of the foreign threat just because of irrational Japano-sceptic Asians, American fearmongering and cost effectiveness of outsourcing defense to a foreign nation.

But that's a tall order for a bunch of sheeps.

and what's worse, the Qantas group seems to have a virtual monopoly over the Cairns/Gold Coast-Japan routes. Not to least blame the Japanese government for denying Virgin and Air New Zealand more landing slots in Japanese airports

So China is going to do better than a plot about magical highschool students who club each other to death using exotic weapons?

Same here, my J wife sheds more tears than most white man. And not just becuase they are cute. They have a life just like our own, they don't deserve to be chopped up in a small cove.

Is it OK to eat dolpins if they are farmed or belong to a sub-species that's not too affectionate of us humans or dumb? Why am I like the only one on this thread who's like endeavouring to not be a hypocrit? Why do I get the feeling that the documentary crew cares more about their career than dolphins?

If you notice someone knocking on the window of the KKD Funabashi Lalaport Store at 2am in the morning, don't worry it's just me being a desperate donut whore.

If Japan had a backbone, they would do 2 things:

    1. Withdraw from the IWC
    2. Send reprisal raids against the SS fleet with chemicals just as obnoxious if not more.

But we are talking about Japan, a country that pays terrorist ransoms when their citizens get kidnapped, and the government carpet bags to a bunch of goons that can't tell wind direction.
