I'm with NeverSubmit. It's not so much the number of people on the planet as the economic and financial system that's at fault. The system transfers wealth and resources to the West, with the corporations and bank owners who reside at the top of the pyramid getting most of it. The people at the bottom have almost no chance of escaping from their misery.
I agree with what Jeffrey Duelley said in that 'Most developed nations and many developing ones are having their populations age and decline.' There are also factors like birth control, vaccinations, media programming and so on which contribute to this decline.
Then they should NOT intervene except in a beneficial way, but that's like asking a leopard to change its spots. To see how developing countries are kept weak and in constant poverty by the West go to youtube and check out 'Confessions of an economic hitman' (by John Perkins.)
When a country becomes wealthy and educated then people naturally tend to have less children. But when they can't escape from their poverty through the West's imperialist interventions then it becomes a vicious circle. Our rulers are not interested in improving people's lot, especially in developing countries. Here's an example.

November headline:
Tokyo stocks disappear down black hole.
When the stock market crashes - as it always does - the money doesn't just disappear, it has to go somewhere. I've been reading recently that large Put Options have recently been bought by insiders. For anyone that doesn't normally follow these things a Put Option is a bet that the Market will go down and as I understand it, are often placed by insiders to steal from ordinary people investing in stocks. (The same happened on 911 with the airline stocks but that's another story.)
It was also reported in September that insider stock purchases have collapsed from $100 mil p/day to $13 million p/day. And according to the link below, What insiders do with their own money is one of the stock market's best barometers.
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/why-the-insiders-have-quit-buying-stocks-2011-09-21?dist=beforebell
If the above is true that means that it's probably a wise time to get out of stocks as it seems there is about to be huge transfer of wealth to the banksters/corporate gangsters.
They'll also be watching this:
Foreigners Dump $74 Billion In Treasurys In 6 Consecutive Weeks: Biggest Sequential Outflow In History
10/13/2011 - Over the weekend, we observed the perplexing sell off of $56 billion in US Treasurys courtesy of weekly disclosure in the Fed's custodial account (source: H.4.1) and speculated if this may be due to an asset rotation, under duress or otherwise, out of bonds and into stocks, to prevent the collapse of the global ponzi (because when the BRICs tell the IMF to boost its bailout capacity you know it is global). We also proposed a far simpler theory: "the dreaded D-day in which foreign official and private investors finally start offloading their $2.7 trillion in Treasurys with impunity (although not with the element of surprise - China has made it abundantly clear it will sell its Treasury holdings, the only question is when), has finally arrived."

Yes, exactly. Look up "agent provocateur" to anyone unfamiliar with the term and you'll find that it's often the intelligence agencies or the police who cause the trouble during otherwise peaceful demonstrations. They've been caught before - being allowed to slip behind police lines or wearing police issue boots etc.
And now the solutions are starting to be introduced. Use the violence to give the demos a bad image and if it goes on long enough, introduce new laws which benefit the very people and institutions the people are protesting against.
Premier Silvio Berlusconi called the violence a "worrying signal" ... but people like him and his globalist friends are the most violent people on the planet. In Berlusconi's case think the illegal invasion of Libya and slaughter of tens of thousands of civilians. What a hypocrite.

@yabits -- The OWS movement doesn't have a Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh or anyone else playing the role of propaganda minister.
No, but then it would be too obvious. They are starting to come out of the woodwork though. Here's someone that could be playing the role of a propaganda minister. He's been interviewed by ABC, Fox and now RT. A comment under the video says:
Please see my remarks about who this "Jesse Lagreca" is below. He's "Left Cover"...a writer for Daily Kos...with a "Left" slant. Also showcased by MoveOn folks to be the 'new face' of OWS. Co-opting....happens more than you know and right under your eyes.

From the AP article: Italian TV reports from Milan showed about 20 young people trying unsuccessfully to enter a building where Goldman Sachs has an office, and spraying red paint on the entrance.
On the video below at the 1:32 mark, you'll see scenes of Italian "anarchists" smearing paint and sticking "15.0 Global Revolution" posters on the windows of a bank.

All these demos seem very errr …. spontaneous! Where did they all suddenly come from?
This is not the first time this has happened and there seems to be a pattern.
Destabilise the economies, make people angry and then create agitation for change … and make sure the change is aimed at the private sector (rather than the central banks.) It's the Hegelian Dialectic at work; that is the elites/banksters maliciously set up a problem and then offer a solution that suits them. Without knowing what's going on we take the bait and enslave ourselves further.
This is the blueprint that worked in the 1930s to push forward elite control when the first wave of fascism hit the US (and then went worldwide) with the creation of the dysfunctional SEC and other "self-regulatory organisations." Then finally came the confiscation of gold.
This fake agitation will lead to draconian legislation and ultimately a one world currency. That's the game plan. If you look at the links below you'll see it's all very slick and professional, like a campaign that was planned long before, rather than coming from some "leaderless and amorphous movement" (as ben4short so accurately relayed it).
From a post on a message board dated Oct 6th at a site called the Daily Bell.

@Notthesame
You quoted me so I guess your questions were aimed at me…
Who else would own them? It's certainly not the public.
Not sure what you mean by 'super rich people in general'? I'm talking about the owners of the central banks specifically who own at least half of the world's wealth and who have obtained their wealth through fraudulent banking practices.
Of course but there are the commercial banks (Wall St) and then there are the central banks. Although the commercial banks have been up to mischief it's the central banks which are the real culprit and need to be closed down while the ill-gotten wealth confiscated from the owners.
Look more closely at the Arab Spring and you'll find there is plenty of evidence to suggest the West and its Intelligence Agencies were involved, for example through AYM (Alliance for Youth Movement), Arab Google execs, Facebook and so on, all there to direct and undermine the movement. In Egypt for example the point man to be installed was Al Baradei, an elitist who just suddenly appeared on the scene to become Egypt's new "democratic" leader. That effort failed when the Egyptian people sussed out what was going on.
You should be a leader?
I saw the video you posted. Good for them. But like I say the protestors need to be careful not to be manipulated and misled.

You're right that it's just getting going and I hope things work out. But sorry, I don't trust the NYT - it's a mouthpiece for the very same people who have caused the problems. From what I've read the solution suggested by the NYT is exactly what happened during the Great Depression - that is after ripping everyone off Wall St was severely criticised and then the government stepped in to regulate.
Coming down hard on Wall St in the '30s was a relatively minor sacrifice for the PTB but the corrupt central banking system that is the bankers source of power and real cause of the Depression was kept in place and allowed to flourish. In fact there is even more centralisation and corruption now than back then so regulation will not help. The central banks need to be completely replaced with a fairer system.

What I don't get is:
Why are the protestors focusing their protests on places like Wall St, the London Stock Exchange, rich people's houses etc while paying little attention to the real source of the problem, the central banks? The following is from a US Senator's official web site.
July 21, 2011 -- The first top-to-bottom audit of the Federal Reserve uncovered eye-popping new details about how the U.S. provided a whopping $16 TRILLION in secret loans to bail out American and foreign banks and businesses during the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression. An amendment by Sen. Bernie Sanders to the Wall Street reform law passed one year ago this week directed the Government Accountability Office to conduct the study. "As a result of this audit, we now know that the Federal Reserve provided more than $16 trillion in total financial assistance to some of the largest financial institutions and corporations in the United States and throughout the world," said Sanders. "This is a clear case of socialism for the rich and rugged, you're-on-your-own individualism for everyone else." Among the investigation's key findings is that the Fed unilaterally provided trillions of dollars in financial assistance to foreign banks and corporations from South Korea to Scotland, according to the GAO report. "No agency of the United States government should be allowed to bailout a foreign bank or corporation without the direct approval of Congress and the president," Sanders said.
Correct me if I'm wrong but if you take away this ability of the privately owned central banks to print massive sums of money from nothing then you effectively remove the Wall St casino.

This article/promotion for doing away with vitamins is firmly tied to the insidious globalisation movement via what is known as Codex Alimentarius. As Psychopathsareincontrol and Foxie point out, it's connected to Big Pharma and is not in the public's best interest. A couple of excerpts from 2 web sites to give a better idea:
What is CODEX
[…] This WHO/WTO joint effort called CODEX is in the process of wiping out local supplement companies and natural health care practices, to bring in more drug based medicines, in what is euphemistically known as "creating a level playing field", while primarily giving the public a misleading impression that someone in the World Health Organisation (WTO) is looking after its health and safety. CODEX recommendations are then adopted by regulators such as the Australian TGA or the US FDA by various direct or indirect means that end up as Acts and amendments that are passed into law by Parliaments or Congress, usually without public debate. This is another example of globalisation and unconstitutional UN treaties.
http://members.iimetro.com.au/~hubbca/codex.htm
~~~~
OPERATION CURE ALL IS JUST ONE MEANS TO AN END Operation Cure-All is just a tactic, a vehicle, in a much bigger overall plan. It is a result of "Codex Alimentarius" (meaning food code) -- a set of regulations that aim to outlaw any health information in connection with vitamins and limit free access to natural therapies on a worldwide scale.
WHAT'S BEHIND CODEX ALMENTARIUS?
Behind the Codex Alimentarius Commission is the United Nations and the World Health Organization working in conjunction with the multinational pharmaceutical cartel and international banks. Its initial efforts in the US with the FDA were defeated, so it found another ally in the FTC. Now Codex, with the FTC and the pharmaceutical cartel behind it, it threatens to become a trade issue, using the campaign of Operation Cure-All to advance its goals.
@Jeffrey Duelley
Find the answer to that and you'll know why the PTB are desperately trying to hold the slow-motion euro train wreck together.
It was the traitorous Greek government along with the bankers (G.Sachs) who fraudulently massaged the books and got Greece into the euro (and EU). At least one economist (Michael Hudson) says the Greek people have been protesting because they want to send a clear message that their government did not act on their behalf. The Greeks don't want to just default, they want to repudiate the debt altogether.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJCHHiQ22GM
The EU is all about centralization of power and ultimately global governance by a small cabal of elitist banking families, the same ones who own and control the business of central banking.
If you go to adbusters.org you'll come across a web site promoting the Occupy Wall Street protest.
http://www.adbusters.org/campaigns/occupywallstreet
If you then do a search on 'Soros' and 'adbusters' and you'll find that Soros has been funding this "movement for democracy," through at least one of his foundations. I'm sure the vast majority of protestors are well-meaning but unfortunately they're being undermined and the movement hijacked.
You'll find that Krugman is the same. They focus on Wall St (which is good) but avoid the Rothschild's CENTRAL BANKING scam at all costs, which is the real root of the problem. These guys are part of the power elite and it's the reason why their homes are not being targeted. Here's a libertarian web site analysis of a NYT article written by Krugman and his avoidance of the obvious.
LOL. Taxing the richest Americans is like peeing into a typhoon in the hope that it'll right a sinking ship. This AFP article is a promotion for the privately-run Fed owners who are the real power in the US. In fact behind the scenes it is they who wield control in most countries.
The Wall St protestors should be targeting the Fed (and other central banks). It is the central banks who distort the economy through fractional reserve banking and usury. How could it not be when they create money from nothing and charge interest which doesn't exist in the system?
Japan may buy more European bonds, finance minister says
TOKYO — Japan may purchase more European rescue bonds if a proper system is put in place to bail out the continent’s debt-riddled economies, according to the finance minister.
“If there is any scheme that could help ease tensions worldwide, including financial markets, over the rescue of Greece, I will not reject the possibility that Japan will share some of the burden,” Jun Azumi told reporters on Tuesday. (9/27)
I don't know what your definition of easing is but the following is from the US State Dept's web site. To me it reads like the AP headline says it is, an easing of the travel alert. Anyway the definition of 'easing' is not important. What is important is that the alert, which is "based on current data from Japan," seems to contradict reality; ie, "Contaminated soil found outside Fukushima no-go zone." etc. With this latest alert people who rely on the government and MSM for their news might well get a false sense of security if they decide to visit the area. In particular that applies to long-term residents who return or decide to stay on.
July 19, 2011 Travel Alert
While the situation at the Fukushima Daiichi plant remains serious and dynamic, the health and safety risks to land areas which are outside a 50-mile radius of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant are low and do not pose significant risks to U.S. citizens. Out of an abundance of caution, we continue to recommend that U.S. citizens avoid travel to destinations within the 50-mile evacuation zone of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant. U.S. citizens who are still within this zone should evacuate or shelter in place.
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_5454.html
October 7, 2011 Travel Alert
Based on current data from Japan, we recommend that U.S. citizens avoid all areas within 20 kilometers of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant. In addition, U.S. citizens should avoid the area northwest of the plant that the Government of Japan has designated as the “Deliberate Evacuation Area.”
Government of Japan data measurements show varying levels of radiation in land areas outside of the area described above, but within 80 kilometers of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant. The U.S. government believes the health and safety risks to temporary visitors to these areas are low and exposure does not pose significant risks to U.S. citizens making visits of less than one year… […] … (W)e recommend that U.S. citizens who choose to reside for more than one year within 80 kilometers of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant consult with local authorities to receive current guidance…[…] In addition, pregnant women, children, and the elderly should avoid residing within 30 km of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant.
http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/pa/pa_5574.html
Obviously the area is still dangerous then -- the military must have all the testing equipment and latest data -- yet the State Dept's travel alert implies that the 20-80km zone (excluding the area northwest of the plant) is considered safer than what it was in July. So with caution it's now ok for citizens to travel or even live in this 20-80km zone, but it's still a no-go for the military even to transit through. Hmmm…
FWIW you should probably not take CNN as being different or more truthful than AP, say, or any of the other MSM outlets. They all speak for Leviathan in one way or another.
Re. the CNN article you quoted; if you only read the headline it would seem that way. But a few paragraphs down it says...
The State Department alert offered different advice for those farther out from the plant, which it defined as between 20 and 80 kilometers. For "temporary visitors" making a trip a year, the U.S. government said that "health and safety risks ... are low and exposure does not pose significant risks."
Those who live in this zone for more than a year are being urged "out of an abundance of caution" to follow guidance from local authorities. Pregnant woman, children and elderly people should not stay within 30 kilometers (18 miles) of the plant, according to the U.S. alert.
And this:
(The accident) also prompted widespread evacuations, though no one is believed to have been killed by resulting radiation
... As if small but cumulative doses of radiation are going to kill people within a matter of months :/.
I agree. It's seems to be arbitrary and what can be gotten away with. Funny that within the space of a matter of days JT has headlines like:
"Contaminated soil found outside Fukushima no-go zone" (10/6)
"Radioactive ash causes Kashiwa incinerators to shut down" (10/4)
"Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant worker dies" (10/7)
But then a few days later it's "U.S. eases travel alert around Fukushima nuclear plant"
… like it's suddenly all getting back to normal. Doesn't make sense, at least from a normal perspective.
