Before we make any comments - Has anyone seen what this road looks like ? Where this road is at ? If the bus driver drove over the pedestrian crossing it's not his fault if the kid hit the side of the bus and rolled under the bus.
I've seen alot of bus drivers who are most careful and observant.
One possibility we haven't considered was the 8 year old child skating to fast and forgot to brake and time ?
Did the bus pass the 8 year old and fell under the side of the bus ?
We may never know the true answers to these questions.

speed bumps in small narrow roads
bicyclist driver's license - age 11 - 99 years old. Because we all have seen crazy bicyclists reading a book, staring down talking on the phone, carrying an umbrella, 5 abreast ( especially high school kids ) bicycle formation, and the 1# most famous bicyclist that never checks before leaping out with his bicycle in front of & sideways for incoming cars.

Gunma to Tokyo is less than 3 hours with frequent stops at designated in the schedule. Especially at night !!!! FAR LESS TRAFFIC Night bus ???
JR bus is TOP NOTCH . I recommend it for anybody that wants to travel on a budget. japan today never does stories abut JR bus or any travel worthy stories.
Did the bus driver had numerous shifts that day ? Brake failure ? Mechanical failure ?
To early to report anything. Have to wait for an investigation to determine the cause.

**PLEASE CHECK YOUR FACTS BEFORE ASSUMING **
George Zimmerman was fighting a police officer awhile back.
http://usnews.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/03/27/10894561-zimmerman-accused-of-domestic-violence-fighting-with-a-police-officer
He peppered his calls with jargon familiar to police. In one case, he chased a reckless driver while calling 911 -- the driver later told police he was terrified that Zimmerman was going to attack him. In another case, Zimmerman tailed a supermarket shoplifter until a police officer successfully arrested the thief.
On the night of Feb. 26, he tailed Trayvon Martin through the Retreat at Twin Lakes, the gated community where Zimmerman lived with his wife, describing his every move to a dispatcher who told him he didn't need to follow the young man. A scuffle ensued and Zimmerman shot Trayvon dead. Zimmerman claims self-defense.
Dr. Laurence Miller, a Palm Beach County clinical psychologist who works with local police agencies, said he believes Zimmerman likely was acting out the "whole TV cop role in his head" when he confronted Trayvon.
"A lot of people like the power and control that law enforcement officers have but with that comes a tremendous amount of responsibility," Miller said, pointing out that a police officer is the only profession that can use "coercive physical force" or lethal force to subdue a suspected criminal.
"People act like cowboys and like the power, but not the responsibility."

George Zimmerman - was attending school to become a police officer also he had a criminal past.
DID YOU KNOW -
The three incidents took place in Orange County, Fla. In 2005, Zimmerman, then 20, was arrested and charged with “resisting officer with violence” and “battery of law enforcement officer,” both which are third-degree felonies. The charge was reduced to “resisting officer without violence” and then waived when he entered an alcohol education program. Contemporaneous accounts indicate he shoved an officer who was questioning a friend for alleged underage drinking at an Orange County bar. In August 2005, Zimmerman’s ex-fiancee, Veronica Zuazo, filed a civil motion for a restraining order alleging domestic violence. Zimmerman counterfiled for a restraining order against Zuazo. The competing claims were resolved with both restraining orders being granted. In December 2006, Zimmerman was charged with speeding. The case was dismissed when the officer failed to show up in court.

" LET JUSTICE PREVAIL OR THE HEAVENS FALL "
This is NOT enough, the " Stand Your Ground " laws should be abolished.
More from the four-page court filing: Later while talking about Martin, Zimmerman stated "these ---holes, they always get away" and also said "these ----ing punks." During this time, Martin was on the phone with a friend and described to her what was happening. The witness advised that Martin was scared because he was being followed through the complex by and unknown male and didn't know why. Martin attempted to run home but was followed by Zimmerman who didn't want the person he falsely assumed was going to commit a crime to get away before the police arrived. Zimmerman got out of his vehicle and followed Martin. When the police dispatcher realized Zimmerman was pursuing Martin, he instructed Zimmerman not to do that and that the responding officer would meet him. Zimmerman disregarded the police dispatcher and continued to follow Martin. Zimmerman confronted Martin and a struggle ensued. Witnesses heard people arguing and what sounded like a struggle. During this time period witnesses heard numerous calls for help and some of these were recorded in 911 calls to police. Trayvon Martin's mother has reviewed the 911 calls and has identified the voice crying for help as Trayvon Martin's voice. Zimmerman shot Martin in the chest. When police arrived Zimmerman admitted shooting Martin. Officers recovered a gun from a holster inside Zimmerman's waistband. A fired casing that was recovered at the scene was determined to have been fired from the firearm. Assistant Medical Examiner Dr. Bao performed an autopsy and determined that Martin died from the gunshot wound.
