Quality meaning everybody else's rejects. (with the exception to Green and Upson - Arsenal reject). As for the best fans, if you mean holding up effigies of Becks after '98, and booing every ex-West Ham player who returns to Upton Park, then yes, you do!! As for manyoo winning this 'Mickey Mouse Cup', I say good on 'em, though I think it will hurt them when it comes to the EPL, especially with the busy festive period of games coming around.

You only have to look north of the border to Scotland to see the old firm. They storm their league every year, yet don't quite cut it in European competitions. If they were to drop into the English league, they would probably make good top 8 teams due to their fan base and the revenue they could command in the EPL. Your average Japanese team is very poor, and even the likes of the 'mighty' Urawa reds would be on a par with the likes of Derby County!! No offense to any rams fans out there...

I don't see why manyoo should have to fly half the way around the world to fulfill the dreams of the 'Gamba players'. Come January when the 3rd round of the FA Cup kicks off, there will be more than a few teams who get the opportunity to play against the big boys. Haven & Waterloo proved what a great spectacle the FA Cup is last year when they had a 1-2 lead at Anfield in the 4th round. This 'Mickey Mouse Cup' is supposed to bring the champions of all 6 continents together to decide a winner, not be 'an experience' for the minnows of football.

Thank goodness, get the tat of the streets. How can brown bags be a fashionable accessory.

Ironically, a shade of (s*it) brown, ridiculously overhyped, overpriced tat.
Manyoo, the 'Loius Vuitton' of Football. Perhaps thats why they are so popular here in Japan.

Sounds easy, though with your sponser going belly up, your fringe players on huge contracts sucking the lifeblood out of the club and a GBP30mil lawsuit in progress it's quite hard to see them staying in the Premier League as it is. Their best bet is to rely on there academy, which over the years has produced some fine players.

AlfGarnett - You are a real muppet if you think the British Government helped in some way or form to turn Manyoo into the super rich club they are today. (Though GBP700million in debt as we speak lol) The reason they are where they are, is because they saw the vision to market their team better than any of their rivals. It also helps when they keep reeling a long list of players of the team sheet that sell umpteen shirts in the MUFC Store. Cantona, Becks and now that goon Ronaldo. They have been and still are the market leaders in marketing their product worldwide, and though most of the football community hate them, they are especially good at what they do.

I am sick of hearing everyone bang on about bailing out the big 3!! If their complete incompetence has dragged them into the gutter, then so be it. Try building something decent that might actually sell, rather than the lumps of metal that have been pouring out of Detroit over the last few decades.

How unfortunate that Manyoo have to enter this 'Mickey Mouse Cup'. Manyoo could put out their second string team and p*ss all over Gamba. Hardly worth the turmoil that it will bring to their domestic campaign, though it will sell a few more pieces of that red rag merchandise.

If you have ever had the unfortunate opportunity to step into an 'American made car', brand irrelevant, it is easy to see why many would choose to buy a foreign brand. The build quality is especially poor, and the handling is like that of a lump of jelly. I would rather ride a horse and cart to work than 'buy American'.

Morals, basic manners, common sense and the ability to take responsibility for one's own actions to name a few. There seems to be more than morals lacking from the Japanese mindset.

Perhaps a compulsory subject for primary school children to learn about 'road safety' would be wise. At least some sort of actual campaign involving school kids, and not some desperate tarento to flutter her eye lids to get the drooling mens attention. Then again, it's common sense that is lacking in this country. I think most adults couldn't tell their elbow from their arse, let alone drive properly!!

In my own personal experience I only own a TV in Japan for one reason. To watch the Premier League on the weekends. I used to quite enjoy Japanese TV a few years back, but have recently boycotted it as it's complete tosh!!! I'd prefer to go online and watch clips of Japanese classics like Takeshi's 'genki ga deru terebi' and/or 'uchi-p produces'. I only wish that J:Com would put the BBC on their services to inform me of some proper news. As for tarento, the majority of them have the talent of a dead door mouse.

Agree with Disillusioned - sounds like history repeating itself, though they preferred little boys back in the day. Another patriotic deadbeat following his fathers footsteps perhaps!!!
