One of the things I love about Tokyo, and any other big city in Japan, are the few quirky odd-balls wandering about. For all their social constraints, it's nice that people can express themselves this way without fear of getting beaten up.

I love wandering the streets of Tokyo and Osaka. It didn't matter which neighborhood I was in or the time of day, I always felt safe. I'd frequently spend my days off exploring the city walking for 12 hours until there were blisters on my feet.

Of course wine is more expensive in Japan compared to France. I'm just guessing, but I bet sake is less expensive in Japan compared to France. I always thought a pizza from Domino's was too expensive.

I've read reports that ANA could have received as much as a 50% discount from Boeing for their 787 purchase. They were the single largest purchaser. I'm sure this advertising is just a small token of appreciation.

Even a mediocre Honda Civic is better than most of the American cars in the same segment. Honda needs to keep the design control in Japan. They have let their American offices design some of their cars, to the detriment of the brand.
