They would be better served to do a story on how to properly use a public bathroom, and not let your child defecate on a train, just because he/she can't wait.

I can't imagine the kind of life this kid was living to predict someone was going to kill him. I'm not blaming him at all, just got in with the wrong crowd. Seems like the parents gave him a very long leash, so to speak. I'm not blaming them either, not knowing what their situation is. When I was 13, there would be no way I'd be let out in the middle of the night. It's strange that he would even want to leave the house, if he feared for his life. Just a very bizarre and sad story.

If he hit her hard enough to fracture her skull, then he should be charged with attempted murder. It's a wonder the little tyke is still alive. Hopefully, she recovers and the mother has the smarts to ditch this loser and give her child s stable and safe home life.

This is creepy on so many levels. A cop stalking a 10 year-old girl and then carefully plans her kidnapping. The J-police need to perform a psych evaluation before anyone is given a badge.

Don't blame her! Don't blame her parents! Don't blame the boyfriend! Blame a so-called 'modern' society where she felt this was the only way to deal with an unwanted pregnancy.

BS. I'm sick of people not holding other people accountable for their actions. She chose to do something she knew was wrong, instead of dealing with the child in another matter. I live on the other side of the planet, and even I know there are baby hatches where she can leave the baby. If her parents were at least mildly supportive, they could have taken her to the hospital to deliver the child, and then found other options to deal with the baby, that don't involve killing it. We're talking about Japan here, not some small village in the middle of Afghanistan.

Uncaring parents raise children that make bad decision after bad decision. Looks like that happened here.

It's no wonder the birth rate in Japan is decreasing. Trying to find a suitable partner nowadays is like playing the psycho lottery. It's not so surprising why so many are choosing to stay single.

@HollisBrown I think you missed my point, but the civilized society I was referring to was our own. I know no matter what I say, I'm not going to change your mind, just like no matter how many images of the Prophet Muhammed are printed, it's not going to change the mind of Islamic fundamentalists. The warning signs are out there. The publishers of this book can ignore them, but don't be shocked if something terrible happens as a result. I'm not saying it's right, and I'm not saying it's warranted, but if an attack does happen, they need to ask themselves if it was worth it? These people who are carrying out these attacks don't care if they die. They think they're going to paradise where 72 virgins await them. Why give them the opportunity to martyr themselves?

@change. Is that a good enough reason for you to offend millions of people? Because it costs you nothing? I lose nothing, but as a civilized society, we've lost our compassion to respect another religion. People here are behaving like a bunch of children. They tell you not to do something and it makes you want to do it even more. At the end of the day, you still have freedom of expression, but you can choose not to exercise it. It just seems pointless to me.

Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Be the "bigger man" respect the Islamic religion and don't print the comics. Besides, what is actually gained from printing these images?

Comic book fans, myself included, have been waiting for this day for a long time. I hope they don't waste our time with another origin story and just hit the ground running with Spider-man fully integrated in the MCU.

Single women should view India the same way most people view Syria, as a no-go zone. People think this type of thing can't happen to them, but it has to happen to someone. Eliminate the risk, and just stay away until the authorities sort this out, or until you can go with a partner, or better yet, a group.

It's probably more likely that one of Japan's many mentally unstable people will snap, over a terrorist attack. I see the J-cops as a visual deterrent to those folks.

Full-time Japanese workers should get 10 mandatory days-off in addition to public holidays. It's a shame they have to squeeze overseas trip into 5 days like most do now. Cut them some slack. It's not like they're rebuilding the country after war anymore.

I know it's politically incorrect to blame the victim, but come on! A lone man asks to meet you at a hotel, so he can conduct a sleep study, and you don't see red flags?
