I am glad you are so easily amused but saddened that you can't find a better use for your time.** says the guy who wants to answer every anti-whaling post. the only way Japan will be able to continue whaling unhindered is if they use military intervention against SS, but im guess the political backlash would do more damage to Japan inc than any whaling would. probably no different if China sends some military vessels to solve the Senkaku islands problem. Im guessing Japan doesnt have the b&lls. more cash to SS will do more to save whales than the ICJ and IWC combined

no its the US which has caused the $ to rise, when you stop all the money printing $5trillion worth and hint that you will start raising interest rates of course people are going to pull out of the Yen and put it into the $. just look at it as a rebalancing act. yen was at 110~120 level before all the QE started

@fx my point was that Japan can hardly conserves stocks of Tuna, eel, octopus etc. how would you trust them to do it with whales, theyd hunt them close to extinction then pull back at the last breath hoping theyd survive, bit like whats happening to Bluefin Tuna

would you expect any better, why is Japan even apart of the IWC, why are they even apart of the international community they are basically screw you to both the IWC & ICJ. no better reason to donate more cash to SS.

@fxgai if you want to compare whale meat compare it with something that is similar, eg tuna, eel, octopus, squid. with the first two actually being farmed also. we all know the state of the populations of those fish. 70% of the worlds tuna is eaten by Japanese. now imagine if the Japanese had the same appetite for whale as they do other marine life. restarting commercial whaling will just give the J cronies an excuse to sell off the excess whale meat as dpet food or in school lunches.

It's very simple. Japan will never be told what to do by non-Japanese they were told exactly what to do at the end of WW2. its all about saving face which as we know in Japanese culture must be done at any cost.

yeah i remember no so ago many of the Applites were laughing and the OAR sizes phones of Samsung, LG etc. no Apple have been super innovative and up sized to a 5+inch phone. as one poster put it, Apple could put a turd in a pretty case and Applites would buy it.

excellent idea from NZ, Japan had to put its case forward for scientific research to the ICJ and failed, they should also have to do the same to the IWC also. will be interesting what BS excuse Japan comes up with. will be good for a laugh

with the PR juggernaut that Apple is, they could sell ice to the Eskimos and sand to the Arabs, there are so many better performing phones than the Iphones at lower prices. but hey once you become a Applite theres no other god but Apple, to convert would mean certain death

Abe says he is 'neutral' LMFAO yeah well wait until the next quarter figures have been manipulated enough to break the bad news, hes just trying to limit the damage to his support rate before the next election comes around. delay in the next hike will only happen when the earth reverses its rotation.

IWC is a joke, best way is direct action, Ill be giving some more cash to SS, love em or hate them theyre the only group that has proven to actually save whales. if by some small chance japan does manage to restart commercial whaling, the cost in government/taxpayer subsidies (billions yens) will far exceed any profits that whale meat sales generate. So Japan loses anyway you look at it. Japanese bureaucrat and traditions will always trump common sense.
