wont change anything unless there are strict laws and penalties that stop anti competition practices by the larger suppliers/ I can just see it now, all the big power generators banding together in secret fixing high wholesale prices for the smaller players entering the market. unless there is a gov watchdog with strong powers nothing will change

Most Japanese, especially seniors probably buy only Japan made products already. yeah but when TPP countries that make quality safe foods start importing tariff or low tarriff goods Japanese will eventually understand just how much theyve been ripped off over the years. if the Japanese product is far superior then JA have nothing to fear. but they know that isnt so and are scared, so wish to keep these insulting high tarriffs in place

    • All other rulings have been people who signed a contract for NHK later refusing payment.* making that first payment is as good as signing a contract. until there is a law punishable by a fine or arrest, resist paying NHK, its is not against Japanese law to pay for a service that you never use or dont want to use.

Anyway, back to Japan, and I don't see why people get so worked up about common sense warnings. LOL youd be suprised just how many people lack common sense here.

the only type of confrontation in japan ive ever really had is with these old looneys, I just fire back the same amount of flack (with a im going to smash your face in look) that they give. they all STFU really quickly after that. theyre mostly in shock because they never expect this from a younger generation. respect is earned not required as many seniors here seem to think.

strange how the ranking system works, because of the last few games they played, Murray is clearly the superior player.

CX-5 with diesel, yeah the huge torque from the 2.2L diesel is similar to a small block V8 gas engine. with the price of diesel in Japan im also considering the same car, or even the 1.5L diesel Demio for the wife.

Then i started counting down from ten in a Sam L Jackson voice.I had a weekly NHK problem until that day. probably a little too aggressive, all I said to them was I dont watch NHK and the only way youll get me to pay is when there is a law that states I`ll be arrested or fined by the J Gov/police for not paying (with a smile) dumbfounded guy just bowed apologised and has never come back again. over 2 yrs ago.

yep give me the option to refuse NHK broadcasts and ill do it, telling me i must pay something that I dont even use is just wrong. if they want everybodies money then just make it a forced tax that everybody has to pay, punishable by law. but I doubt theyd get that passed through J Gov as a new law & NHK know this. which is why they prefer to keep harrassing people to pay them. youll get blood from a stone be before NHK gets my money.

Really? I had a guy get in my face at a gym in Fukuoka for no reason. I found out later that this guy liked to push his "weight" around. I didn't back down and told him to piss off, or else. After that, he wanted to become my best friend.

had a similar thing happen a few yrs back. but ive found over the yrs most japanese guys are just full of hot air especially when there buddies are around, once they realise theyre about to get there face smashed they change really quickly, deep bows, almost kissing your shoes, and apologise dont stop. you almost feel sorry for them at this point!?

That's why especially in North America, iPhones are extremely popular despite the premium pricing. no there popular in nth America because there an American tech company, battery life please!, I could name plenty of phone that match or are better than a Iphone battery. Just look at Apples market share outside the US, pathetic.

I say this is a fine idea. The tree served as inspiration as long as it could, and now it'll continue to give something to the people in the form of additional donations and companies should profit from a disaster that killed thousands, especially since it has nothing to do with re-contruction just trying to cash in on people feelings. I should collect peoples belongings and or debris left over from the tsunami and mount them on wooden plates with a plaque. But Ill donate 50% of all the proceeds to the victims.

No Agriculture reform is planned youve got it backwards, plenty of agricultural reform is planned, for one reducing the 5 Trillion yen J agr gets in funding (about 6-7% of the annual budget for less than 1% of the economy) making J farms larger and profitable, instead of millions yen in subcidies going to tiny grandpa farms that are basically a welfare industry.

why should farmers pay basically no taxes and get welfare from J taxpayers just to stay legitamate. I certainly do get any tax breaks in my business.

Toyota is looking at a rise equal the inflation rate, Abe/Unions looking for double that. Im guessing Toyota will win in these negotiations. Toyota as a leader wouldnt want to make the increase too large as its competition may not do a similar sized increase. Too large of a wage rise in Japan will just make Toyota & co, hire less workers in Japan and move more production overseas. either way Toyota will win and the J public will end up paying for it

man Japanese kids and many adults need to toughen up, see no evil, hear no evil, doesnt make it magically go away. japanese need to be more aware of the tremendous evil and good that goes on outside of Japan to give there everyday lives some perspective. Japan as many would come to believe is not the center on the universe and everything outside is just empty space.

Who blew up the superbowl & dissd T Swift on national tv? well considering Perry started around 2001 and Swift around 2006 and Swift has still outsold here id say the fans prefer Swift over Perry by far, music isnt about pure talent its a popularity contest and Swift is winning by far.

If I were him, I'd be getting myself a bigger bodyguard than that little guy in the left! LOL if a sumo sized mugger decided to rush the prince, i doubt any of his tiny bodyguards would stop him no matter how good at martial arts / Judo he is.
