and itll be the J taxpayer that will end up paying the bill, Jpride will never let a J company go bankrupt, especially from foreign pressure (of there own doing). expect a bailout announcement in the next weeks/months.

LOL would be surprised that this study was secretly funded by big oil, electric cars will always be less polluting than gas fired engines. the best ones only being 30~35% efficent, and electric motor is over 90% efficent. big oil is starting to sweat as more and more manufacturers turn make hydrogen/electric powered vehicles. and if you have solar cells on the roof of your house charging your car then an electric car is way cleaner than a gas engine.

unfortunatley this economic proding of Russia will eventually lead to a response, everybody seems to forget that Russia is the other 300lb Gorrilla. Russia will respond through where it is strong, that is energy exports and its military. this wont end pleasantly

Japan only has three kinds of programs, “Shows about celebrities. Shows about food. Shows about celebrities eating food.” results will depend on which gaijin you ask, there are two type of gaijin in Japan, the ones that have been assimilated, and the ones that refuse assimilation but have a high tolerance level to handle all the petty BS, the rest go home.

here we go again, seems there is some type of outbreak (bird flu, pig flue, mad cow) or food mislabeling scandal every year in Japan. time for JA to stop brainwashing the j public into thinking japanese foods are the safest and deserve a premium price. Time to import SAFER food from countries like Australia and NZ, which use safe feed/grass fed on there livestock and have some of the strictest quarantine practices in the world. has resulted in almost no outbreaks in the last 40yrs. dont know about you but last thing I want to eat is a infected chicken/cow/pig that was culled oops slaughtered and put into the Japanese food chain before the authorities noticed. sound familiar!?

And there aren't mechanism for fathers to get child custody. exactly why should i pay a mother to support a child i may never get to see,

the Japan approach attempts to avoid the mucky-muck and constant tension between parents after a divorce with kids, unfortunately that only helps the parents, what about the child who may love there father and want to still see him. If I ever got divorced I would only pay support money if I was still able to see my children. may sound selfish, but not as selfish as a mother refusing the father access to his children but still taking his money!

Posted in: Most divorces in Japan are settled by consent, which doesn't mandate a child-support agreement. Even when a child-support agreement is legally agreed on, there aren't mechanisms available to single mothers to ensure they get payments.

to all the housewives/mothers under 40 that stay at home, if your husband does make at least 10million yen a year and if you dont have any large inheritance coming your way then youd better get back to work and save, anybody who expects the J pension system to support them when they retire is in trouble. dont expect your children to support you when you get old, with the smaller wages and larger taxes theyll struggle to support themselves.

@crazy, four months in the detention, thats the crazy thing, japanee gov would prefer to keep people in a detention center tha pay there fair back to there home countries. ittl cost a lot more to keep somebody in detention for 4 months than a free plane ticket.

That was OPEC's goal - stop the shale gas boom in its tracks. yes but before OPEC could do what they like as there was no alternative. they now know that if oil becomes too high then shale/gas/oil will then become a cheaper alternative. this is good overall as they havent got everybody by the balls anymore, just one nut only.

it all depends on how long you keep the fake tree and how to dispose of it. we bought a good quality fake tree almost 20yrs ago and it still going strong. yes a natural tree would be nice but chopping one down every yr is not what id call good for the enviroment. the only way is to have a real tree in a pot to use each yr, but this is not practical for most people

before the WFC when oil was over $160/barrell they sucking us dry. but tPEC seem to shot themselves in the foot. countries like the US are now investing heavily if shale/oil & gas and they slowly becoming oil indepenedant. and with the huge increase in LPG/natural gas production in Australia, Russia parts of Asia. people now have a different choice to the OPEC cartel. OPEC this week decided not to decrease oil production to raise prices as doing so would speed up the production of shale/oil/gas in the US/Canada. Whichever way you look at it having a competitor to OPEC is a good thing for consumers

sad enough, after the Japanese lost the war, the sex brothels continued to operate to satisfy th american Forces..they are still working now LOL anything to shift the blame to somebody else, all too common in Japan. lets face the facts there where many evils and victims during WW2, Japan was far from being innocent. I just wish theyd stop playing the victim card to draw attention away from the atrocities that Japanese soldiers/leaders committed during that war

CH3CHO the only way Japan will get commercial whaling restarted is quit the IWC and go it alone. but doubt the have the nads to do that, as the damage to there image and the negatives it will have on trade will far outweight any positives that whaling has for Japan. but then again this is Japn were talking about pride and culture will always trump common sense.
