Just because you can doesn't mean you should, this is a bad idea (automated cars) LOL just another one that fears technology, in the not too distant future automated vehicles will outperform human drivers in almost ever way, this will mean far fewer collisions and deaths on our roads. As one person put it, if all cars on the rd now were automated with minimal accidents/deaths and there was a law that allowed people to drive causing a huge jump in rd fatalities, would this be acceptable and r allowed to continue!? sorry if you're a taxi driver delivery driver etc but that is progress and no different than robots in factories that have replaced 1000s of human workers. The tech is and will be coming soon you can either embrace it or move over and let the people who want too. I can't think of anything better than in my /70/80s still having the benefit of mobility in my automated car without putting others at risk on the rds with my slow reaction times, oh and the expensive taxi fares will be a thing of the past

which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him.” sounds like he's a bit of a control freak like Tom Cruise. These fracken movie stars egos are bigger than the Titanic. Lets face it they're only talent is "make believe" Heard is just a gold digger, looks like she may have found a huge pot of gold in Depp, wonder who keeps the dogs!?

There's no denying that Japan started the war by attacking Pearl Harbor by surprise. actually as another poster put it, the pacific war started in 1932 with the bombing raids on Shanghai, Japans colonisation of Asia and the millions murdered by the IJA (mostly civilians) set the foundations of the pacific war. Jjapan attacking Pearl Harbour was to claim its dominance in Asia and the pacific region. What it failed to understand was Americas ability to wage war and the massive manufacturing of weapons and vehicles. America being forced into WW2 the supply of weapons to itself and its allies in Europe only aided in the defeat of Hiltler and the IJA

he reporter, who asked Prime Minster Shinzo Abe if he would reciprocate for President Barack Obama's historic visit to Hiroshima, apparently thinks Pearl Harbor weighs much the same as Hiroshima and Nagasaki put together. its nothing to do with which one was bigger just paying respects to people that died in that war, Hiroshima is the symbol of the end of the Pacific war, Pearl harbour is a symbol of the beginning. Making a similar visit by Abe (he doesn't need to say sorry) is respectful and honourable. Seriously you right wingers will read F anything into anything if it suits your ideology.

whenever there's jitters people dive for the Yen, something that no other currency has problems with, its clearly one-sided and certainly doesn't reflect the state of Japans economy. So if or when Japan does need to intervene in their currency nobody should cry foul. The US is due for an interest rate hike anytime soon, but have put it off for fear of the $ gaining strength, another indirect form of manipulation. If that fails then Japan can always crank up the (made in the USA) QE. either way, Im betting on a steady or weaker yen in the coming quarters.

I get tired of Americans pretending that Pearl Harbor parallels Hiroshima and Nagasaki. While civilians did die in Pearl Harbor, it was nothing on the scale of Hiroshima or Nagasaki because the target of the bombing was a military installation, not a city. I get tired of Japanese pretending that Hiroshima/Nagasaki was the worst crime of WW2, it was nothing on the scale of the 6 million jews that were taken away , starved, gassed , incinerated to hide the truth, or the 20million Soviets that died mostly civilian by the hands of the Nazis, or the 15 million Asians that were slaughtered ,most civilians, at the hands of the IJA. WW2 had so much more death and destruction than the A bombs. Japanese would realise this if they actually read a history book or watch a documentary that was actually published outside of Japan. Time for some unbiase, unedited perspective of WW2 history

Trump has run numerous companies into the ground , declared bankruptcy and left others to foot the bill, all the while protecting his every growing personal wealthy almost certainly syphoned from these bankrupt companies. The guy is morally bankrupt and being the POTUS he wont give a flying fudge about the average American, only about how much more money he can scam by being the POTUS. he'll make America great again, great for the top 1%

Move to Guam as was promised and as has been paid for by the Japanese taxpayer. there was never any promise to move all the US forces from Okinawa, there was always a plan to keep a presence in Okinawa and unless Onaga becomes PM thats unlikely to change.

Note: "the real culprit could be a different person". Key word: "could" well would you like to go to jail for 6 yrs if there was some doubt of your guilt, or because its easier just to convict you than actually try to find the real culprit. In a decent legal system they wont convict unless the evidence is 100% conclusive

The Japanese government and those in the IJA were not victims. They were perpetrators. The civilians who god bombed were victims, as hundreds of thousands of them never went to battle. The bombs were evil. Yes, WW II was much bigger than that. But here we are commenting on an article about Hiroshima and Nagasaki, so if you get tired of the topic, you can simply leave the discussion. no i didnt say im tired of the topic, i get tired of this continued mindset that the A-bombs were the worst atrocity in history and how evil it was etc. yes it was bad but so was the other 40million civilians that were killed during WW2. More than 6 million Jews were slaughtered by Hitler, twice as many as all of Japan loses. People need to look at the whole picture of WW2 before reaching conclusions, not just their brainwashed version of it

looks like the US will do the job by itself, there's an expected US rate rise maybe even two before the end of the year, US is getting close to the 2% inflation ceiling this will see money flooding back into the US$,. Feds have been holding off to try and keep the currency low, (another form of manipulation.) If that fails Japan can always crank up the (made in the USA QE) wouldn't hold my breath if you're a high Yen lover.

**** If they devalue the yen they will kill the already sluggish consumer spending. Its economic suicide** ** japan did just fine when the yen was at 250/$1. yes a strong yen will make all those foregin made items cheaper, but in return manufacturers will just move more Japanese production to cheaper overseas factories, meaning less (decent paying ) jobs , less tax revenues. Everytime you purchase that foreign made product your just supporting foreign jobs and the tax revenues of the countries involved. How is that helping the J economy!? It may feel like its better for the average Taro in the short term , but long term itll just bring everybody down as we have already seen in the last 25+ yrs.
