@GW totally agree with you, its time for Japan to show its card or fold and leave the TPP, Japan cant really afford to not have a TPP with the US as Korea does and that just make all it good that much more cheaper than Japanese. well see if Abe is prepared to sacrifice $billions in lost trade to the US or tell the J farmers its time to get competetive or retire. you can see the changes already with the cutting of subsides with the next 5 years, Japan is a democracy, making the 97% of the population 99% of the economy to keep supporting 1% of the economy 3% of the population is just plain stupidity

my wife and i where in a car accident about 10yrs ago, she had suspected broken ribs. (I had a cracked knee cap) during the Ambulance ride to the hospital the medic had to cut my wifes bra/shirt off so as to not move her. I didnt for one minute mind them seeing her breasts and any moron who would think that in an emergency is just that a MORON

Wow, 2.5%. IIRC, not too long ago an article said that Japan was willing to cut the tariffs on agricultural products by 20%, and the US wasn't happy. 20% on what!? 800% tarriff on rice! Japanese agriculture tariffs are so high theyre an insult to other countries. lets drop all tarifs to 0 but still let Japan have 20~800% tariffs on agriculture.. enough with the BS Japan get your tariffs at a level thats fair or GTFO of the TPP.

tinawatanabe And when they commit crimes in Japan, on a per capita basis Japanese commit more crimes than gaijin do in Japan. it would be fair to say that in Japan, Japanese are more criminal than gaijin !?

wait until 3D printers are availably cheaply. people will be able to print almost anything they like with blueprints availble online. criminals with the resources will easily be able to print there own weapons and there is very little the J Gov will be able to do to stop it.

as ive said before the yen should be around 110~120 level this a balance between imports cost and exports being more competetive on the world market. anything below 100 will just drive more money out of Japan through cheaper imports. Japan was built on more exports than imports. not th other way around

I have never seen a Toyota go backward after you release the brakes on an incline slope... driving school 101, when on a slope you apply load first through the accelerator before releasing the handbrake. autos its easy, manuals you need to drop the clutch slowly, when i went to school if the car rolled back at all it was points lost. if a driver cant do a hill start they shouldnt be driving

*GM is 13 million cars honest * yeah thats why theyve fired many top executives for the cover up of ignition switch problems that have been lnked to deaths, class action lawsuits are coming there way. and no the new GM is saying they shouldnt be sued because it was the old GMs problems. LOL and if you do some reseach the American car market is the most heavily subsidized in the world. over $1000 for every vehicle manufactured. which probably wont matter within the next 10years as most will probably be made in Mexico.

Japanese engineering and manufacturing is simply the best! the Germans would argue with you about that claim, yes Japan has world class manufacturing but transfering that to an aircraft is no quick or cheap step. Embraer and Bombardier have a proven safety and service history of there aircraft, something MRJ has yet to prove. Im guessing theyll have to sell there jets at discount rates, subsidize by the J taxpayer to get airlines to buy them over Embraer and Bombardier.

No one here can rightly tell me that all their own soldiers were honorable and never did anything wrong. take out the class A war criminals and theyre probably wont be any problem. honoring criminals that brought about the death of millions is what China/ Korea get p**sed off about

untested product with no service history compared to Bombardier, also interested to know if the price is competitve, or it will be expensive and the "quality quality quality" yarn will be the major selling point. quality and low prices need to go together in the plane market

My new Ford Festa ST is awesome! Festa are crap, never last as long as a Corolla, which is why the Corolla is the biggest selling model of all time. if it wasnt for the $50+ billion bailout of the American auto industry, Ford would have closed because the parts industry would of collapsed. Nice to buy a car that is basically funded by the taxpayer

The yen should be around 110-120 where it was prior to 2008 crash. has it been that long that these J pollies cant remember the economy was doing fine. biggest difference is the N reactors are now off. theyll be switched back one soon and energy imports will plummet. 110~120 range is where Japan should be. No not at 80~90 range as all the import lovers seem to think it should be. it will never get back to that level again unless the Fed Reserve start another massive money printing round which is what caused the imbalance in the first place.

its simple really .. until there is a law that says youll be fined for not paying the fee then you can refuse to pay. NHK cant take everybody to court, theyre just trying to use high profile cases too scare the population into paying. last time a NHK guy came I basically said in a firm tone that I dont watch NHK as I dislike the station and I watch all my TV via the internet overseas. he bowed and left havent seen him since.
