StormR totally agree, its not good having that debt but if UK US can owe $trillions. why cant Japan owe money to itself, if the US can print $5trillion in money out of thin air backed by nothing, then why is it bad for Japan to print Yen, which they own. cant say id like being in the EU since many countries share one currency, and the stronger ones get pulled the weaker.

Even printing money at full speed not working....... it took over 5years and $5trillion for the Fed reserve money printing to show any results, dont think Japans money printing is over by a long shot

just goes to how that even with all the Toyota bashing, US consumers still think Toyota is a top quality auto maker, my mums 15yr old 200,000km Camry has never once broken down, worse problem she had was a small leak in the radiator hose $15 for new one, and a $2 part that helps select 2nd/3rd gear. if thats not reliability for you I dont know what is.

anybody who gets worried from reading this is a fool, youve probably got more chance of being hit by lightning than dying from a massive volcano. no need to stress about something that is totally uncontrollable

Or even simpler, give every official an official credit card and upload every transaction to a website that can be accessed by anyone. excellent idea, there spending taxpayer monies and the public have a right to see where that money is going.

@scipantheist no last i checked you needed coal mixed burnt with iron ore to produce steel. until you find a cheaper alternative the steel makers will keep using mostly coal to produce the stuff.

Hi StromR, Toyota don't make Daihatsu. no they just own the company. Toyota agreed that keeping the Daihatsu brand image was smart in the small car market. same goes with Hino trucks

Coal will be around for many years to come, they havent yet found a cheaper way to make steel without it , Japanese should at least be selling the tech with carbon capture included.

At least Halloween symbolizes non-Christian beliefs which are hard to come by these days. maybe Japan can make a holiday based on the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. then everbody can fast for a month. hold on that may not generate much profit.
Posted in: Halloween is now the second most popular “imported” festive season in Japan after Christmas. Why do you think it has exploded in popularity in recent years?

Mothers in U.S. work because they need the money. That is not the case in Japan. LOL what a load of BS. Japanese women are going back to work because there husbands/ partners dont make anywhere near what they made 20-25years ago. the average salaryman wage is nowhere near enough to pay the mortgage, bring up the kid(s) put them through college and save for retirement. dont think the J pension will be enough to live on in the future. I told my J wife that being married to me means you have to work also and help pay the bills and save for retirement. she wasnt too thrilled about it at first but 10yrs later she now understands it was a wise thing to do. we now can pay all our bills easily and have enough exposable income to travel/eatbring up the kids comfortably. or you can be some lucky people and inherit mum and dads money
