when you introduce a non native species into an environment, its almost impossible for nature to keep them at balanced number. this is why we cull one species of animal so the others dont have to suffer

biggest cost is energy imports for electricity generation gas/oil. if the Nreactors were back on it would take a big cut out of the imports required. Japan cannot do without N power for the foreseeable future, unless you want to see more deficits and larger electricity bills

the boost to exports will outweigh the cost of higher imported materials, most importantly itll keep more jobs in Japan.
more jobs leaving Japan means less tax revenue for the governement. to all you lovers of luxury imported good, countries economies arnt built on imports there built on exports. Just look at Germany one of the few Euro countires that is doing well. and you all know about China.

new engines will be 1.6 litre, twin turbo V6s, similar to the 1.5L turbos of the 80s, but theyll be fuel restricted to keep power down, unlike the highly boosted engines of the 80s, 800hp race, qualifying around 1400hp. they were time bombs but excellent to watch/hear

Actually a good portion of the world's population actually can read Kanji, with no problem. Just ask the Chinese,
well thats only usefull if Japanese & Chinese want to communicate with writing. there needs to be an international lanuage for communication, and thanks to the Brits for colonising many parts of the world, its now ENGLISH.

you want whale meat, go for it!
Tests have revealed that in whale meat sold in the Faroe Islands and Japan, high levels of mercury and other toxins are present. A research study was conducted by Tetsuya Endo, Koichi Haraguchi and Masakatsu Sakata at the University of Hokkaido found high levels of mercury in the organs of whales, particularly the liver. They stated that "Acute intoxication could result from a single ingestion" of liver. The study found that liver samples for sale in Japan contained, on average, 370 micrograms of mercury per gram of meat, 900 times the government's limit. Levels detected in kidneys and lungs were approximately 100 times higher than the limit.
