@wild & turbo they are already developing pilot-less planes flown totally by computer, theyll end up flying just cargo over unpopulated areas to stat with then when the safety assured theyll start passenger flights, still another 20-30 years away

*Apple should be suing Google for Android * that would be even more foolish than sueing samsung, Google could easily countersue Apple for copywrite infringements. and with there very deep pockets and large influence over the internet not even Apple would thing that is wise.

cellphones! I can remember when VHS & Beta video started it was awesome be able to watch movies at home when you wanted instead of on the TV/Cinema. can even remember people carrying around those shoulder bag cell phones in early 90s.

Posted in: Are you old enough to remember a time when there were no cell phones, no email, no Internet and no way to keep you connected to the world 24 hours a day? If so, do you sometimes think back on that time fondly?

@ossan buying up foreign rivals wont guarantee you success in those markets, otherwise Amazon/Ebay would be doing the same, even the Amazon boss says all companies will fall eventually just depends on how long you can stay in front. I dont see Rakuten toppling either two, "even in the near future"

@raymonmd, sorry Rakuten will never really challenge Amazon or Ebay outside Japan, theyre about 10 years to late. ask any American, Australian, Candian UK European who Rakuten is and most wouldnt have a clue. with Ebay 70billion, Amazon 90billion worth they make Rakuten look tiny and the purchasing power and influence they have outside Japan wont be challenged anytime soon

@ReformedBasher yes Japan could possible build its own fighter from scratch but itll cost a lot more and take much longer than they think. they could go the Chinese route and just steal the tech from Russia/US or they could buy it from the US (the weapons flight avionics hardware being the most difficult/expensive part of any new fighter) but then it would be a purely Japanese only fighter then would it?

Anxiety makes Japanese stingy L+OL what a load of BS, its lower wages and bonuses compared to 25 years ago that make Japanese stingy now compared to then. and now the higher consumption tax. less disposable income = stingy

please if Japan thinks it can build a stealth fighter from scratch that can match anything from the US Russia theyll be sadly mistaken, itll take decades of R&D and many $billions just to get one fighter made. just look at the problems that Chinese fighter is having, its stolen most of its tech from Russia and the engines are even rumoured to be Russian copies, oh and it hasnt even fown yet. Japan has at least 20 years of catchup, by that time 6th gen fighters will be avilable

"full-blooded Japanese" what does that even mean, Japanese as with all other nationalities in the world are descendants from a single tribe in Africa around 200,000 years ago, Genetic analysis of modern day human populations in Europe, Asia, Australia, North America and South America have revealed that we are all descended from these common ancestors. so compared to our common ancestors that would make us all unpure blooded No!? science doesnt lie

Posted in: Even if there are Ainu, they are no more than Japanese who are descended from Ainu. All they do is insist relentlessly on exercising their rights. It's absurd, and I can't explain it to the taxpayers.

ive seen silver and brown late model Ferraris, my Russian friend who export cars from Japan keep hinting that Japanese may be color blind as the majority of cars in Japan are silver white brown black, dont see many dark blue reds or yellows orange. at auction these colors normally fetch a higher price since theyre rare compared to the normal colors. next time your in traffic count the monchrome colors compared to the rest. youll be surprised

If you read other new sites his anger was directed at the Chinese companies (which are Chinese government owned) that are trying to control Australian ports and Australias minereral resources. Palmers tirades are common, if you think he hates all Chinese because of a few at the top trying to control Australias mineral wealth youd be wrong!
