Yes, "Mini Skirt Police" was once a TV late night program way back in 1997/1998 or so. Goofy as usual, playing table tennis (and unusual games). I have to go back thru my old VHS videos to recall exactly. Had no idea they were still going.

Rude...what is rude? I guess it depends on each and everyone of us....and our own values. Outwardly rude. I don't see it that often. Sublime arrogance...the Americans are 1st...(funny thing is that the Iranians and Africans seem to always respond kindly but)...Americans (perhaps some Brits, Aussies etc.) just walk down the street and make it a point not to notice you.
I was on a train and when this American standing right behind me saw me and suddenly took off to get off the train at another door...everytime I was just about ready to say, "Hi, what's up?" I'm somewhat quiet and shy and am not looking for anything more than an acknowledgement that "hey we are all in the same situation to a degree." We are "Gaijin" in Japan. I always get this feeling that they feel they are so high and mighty. A simple smile would be nice! At the BBQ's on the beach. After the Brits or Aussies (some of them) they want to pick on someone to fight with. Perhaps frustration? Perhaps a need to show power? I'm not sure...Hey we all live in the same world...smile...some people need it.

Yes, if it's a REAL Democracy. America is a Lobbyist money grabbing vote government. Though they claim to be a democracy. Perhaps having lots of money is the REAL democracy.

Please I'm not a fan of PH. I hate fashion c____p, greed and arrogance. I could care if she gets into Japan or not BUT...I was busted at Narita in Jan. 2000 for about ¥50 yen worth of pot. The detectives/police/prosecutors, lawyers and judges all said, "Hey we don't care if you smoke marijuana in your home country or Thailand, Amsterdam, New York, Australia etc. Just as long as you don't have (or smoke) any here in Japan. A bit hypercritical isn't it! I don't think it's something right. If she had some coke, pot or H on her then I can see the point but....is the world become smaller and more paranoid.

I was against the War in Iraq in the first place. I had no choice and my decision didn't matter...but again they went into Afganistan and what should we do? We can cry! We can get out and let those people suffer under the broken promises of bringing them Democracy and Freedom and all that_______... If they really want to win...you go all out...let's say 500,000 or more....OH that cost money...If a country does not want to spend money they should NOT go to War!

Is he a multi-millionaire? anyway, "Capitalism" can have many meanings, not just the economic textbook one. Yes, the Japanese are very capitalistic but they share...my students pitched in this Feb. when my Mom passed away so I could get back to America. They give me gifts, uni from Hokkaido, Cheese from France/Britain, etc. when I was back in America in Feb. all I heard was "Oh, I make $200,000 annually but I can't live on that"! So many examples I can't even write them. I've never seen a country (my own) go off in such a spruge of spending on worthless things. This to me is "Capitalism". The sports and entertainment people change teams get millions and the public loves them. Well, MM has a ??? year old car and is not driving around in a Ferrari or Lexus like the Wall Streeters. It can go on & on...

ah come on now...as I see most of you probably eat regular food from your native America, England or Canada etc. here in Japan if you eat Japanese...you can buy a good teishoku for about ¥600~800. and you go to a super market (local) i can get same (shark) for ¥500 for three good sized pieces...daikon a buck, can go out with my wife for a quick meal and drink at an izakaya for about ¥3,000~5,000. and I went to Itayokodo and bought some nice cheap light work shirts and some shorts for ¥950 each. Now if you want fashion and expensive steak etc...You've gotta pay.....I'm not interested...I can live pretty cheap in these cases. Other cases cars...etc. are expensive...

Is the rent cheaper? I'll take it, if it's in a good area...My buddy's wife's relative died (in Japan) and she didn't want to take anything left in the house for fear of evil spirits or something... so my buddy offered me a 29" old digital Hitachi TV, washer machine & dryer, etc. still running great after 8 years.....haven't been haunted yet....

Tourists? I live here and I can eat delicious, reasonably priced food. I never go to any tourist styled places. My homeland in America has grease laden large portions of chemical dishes. Bet most never even saw a raw scallop in the shell on the grill.

Only a joint's worth and they treat him as if he's a real hard core criminal. What's worse a joint or isshoubin of sake? Well, at least I can buy shochu seven days a week 365 days a year 24 hours a day here! Maybe slowing some of these people down with some pot might cool down the suicide rate ah!

Isn't China a Communist country? Why do we treat the Christian nation of Cuba like terrorists and warmongering and then it's O.K. to sell weapons, missiles, jets, TVs, computers, cars etc. to a Communist country which is what I grew up with being told to hate! Man get in and grab the cash..."What a can of worms America has opened"! Besides hypocrisy...ignorance. Wait till the next BIG war. Every Chinese wants a big kitchen, frig, dish washer, air con...should've left them to live natural like before. Oh yeah, gotta make some money. Wait til there's no oil left. God save us. Oh, I don't believe in God!

The elite dignitaries are very culturally sensitive and interested in the world people indeed. When I hear all this talk about for ex. Hillary saying how close she is and knows the average working person...I laugh. Why, don't you stay with me here in Japan. BTW "I take cold water showers from the end of May to late September". Wonder how she could handle the reality of a real average person. And how many course meals were served at the G8 conference? 32 or 36? yes, I'm not so big and tall as my average American, still I think the tatami is comfortable sleeping. Yes, the open~minded. chou

Oh No! I'm a proud and patriotic American. But, even I have seen the disgrace caused by our so called democratic and free nation. To put it bluntly... I don't trust Americans. Yes, I'm sorry to say. If we just look at only the smallest fundamentals of trust...not doing what one says or even able to write an e-mail in reply....lazy? arrogant? selfish? too busy doing nothing? who knows...I'm tired of worthless excuses. Get off your high horse.
