It's not a probably of being partially educated per se. There are plenty of educated people who believe in conspiracy theories, but just not in their area of expertise.

    People are pretty easily fooled.

    @AdamB,

If there were a way to stop terrorism and and get rid of those responsible and have zero civilian casualties, I would be all for it.

Clinton, Bush, Obama. None of them have been able to do it. If you think you can, then send your ideas to the White House.

"Bin Laden's sons say U.S. broke international law by killing their father"

In other news, Charles Manson's mother said that the handcuffs used on her son were too tight, and Hitler's niece complained that derogatory comments were made in British news reports about her kind Uncle.

Yes, it's a nasty world we live in.

It's interesting that for all the bashing of Bush, even a super peace-loving, Nobel Peace Prize winning, respecter of all countries and faiths, all-round nice guy President like Obama ordered the attack on Bin Laden, and even he isn't saying sorry for it for his death.

But still some people don't get it.

So even with Obama as President, the US is still the bad guy...

Bin Laden and others were terrorists and teaching others to become terrorists before the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.

There are some people you can reason with and some you can't.

@Tiger Moth - exactly! Thanks for saying all I wanted to say.

"Bin Laden should have been captured, tried, and justice would have been served. There would have been closure for everyone."

You think AlQueda, militant Muslims, and other anti-US loons wouldn't have complained about the trial?

There wouldn't have been any closure. There is now though. Case closed. Another evil madman dead! Of course there will be more to come - Hitler wasn't the last either. But that's life on this planet unfortunately.

He's just saying what most personal trainers and people selling programs are saying these days. The theory falls down though because there really aren't people who jog or run on treadmills "day in day out" who are in terrible shape.

    It's standard advertising these days.

And the irony is that even most of the pro bodybuilders and fitness models do plenty of simple old cardio.

@Oikawa. I tell you what. I'll make a deal. If tomorrow 3000 innocent people are killed, and I claim credit for doing it, and continue to do so for years, and all my followers treat me like a hero and further attacks are carried out on my behalf and my direction, and I make videos about how God and I are going to kill more people etc etc, then yeah, you can call me a really really bad person. And you can even shoot me in the head.

    .... and I won't complain..

Seriously, I am so glad that Bin Laden wasn't brought to trial in the US. His celebrity lawyer would have dragged out the trial for years, and all jurors would have been dismissed until all you were left with were people like Mr Oikawa. And then, the verdict would have been that in fact the US was bad and Bin Laden would probably be free and sue the US for damages.

Mr Oikawa, it would have been great if you had the opportunity to discuss the inhumanity of the death penalty with Bin Laden. He probably would have beheaded you.

    @Oikawa,

How can someone like you not get that it was clear that Bin Laden was guilty. All the evidence was there, he claimed he was guilty, and continued to do so for years, and so did his followers. So, you think Hitler's guilt was also in doubt and needed to be brought to trial?

I am just really glad that it was Obama that ordered the raid. If Bush ordered it, there would have been even more criticism.

Oikawa, let me guess. You think 9/11 was an inside job right? No doubt engineered by some of the old hands who faked the moon landing?

@Mrwoody, You weren't in the room when Bin Laden was shot. So how do you know if the Seals acted rightly or not.

Anyway, people can talk all they like. Let's put it simply in a way anyone can understand.

A really, really bad man who planned the murder of many people, and who wanted to murder even more people is dead. Good news.

Seriously, if they took him alive, gave him a trial, and he stayed in a hotel during it, there would still be people accusing the US of something.

America bends over backwards to see the other side.

Looking at things from the Japanese side, you can understand their reasons for going to war. They weren't the first ones in history to do it.

But whatever the reasons, they weren't good enough to justify the horror they inflicted all over Asia and the attack on Pearl Harbor.

If different people were running the country in the years before, there would have been no Pearl Harbor, no Nanking, and millions wouldn't have died from so many countries.

    Pretty simple.

Okay, here's a more moderate comment.

For all the people talking about taking the guy alive, do you think it's that easy to come down from a helicopter into a place like that and go room to room?

Whether it's football, MMA, boxing or secret missions, guys sitting behind computers always seem to think they could do things better.

Yes, they should have taken him alive. Absolutely disgraceful. A travesty. How can anyone respect the US anymore. What kind of message does that send to the world?

I feel very strongly that he should have been captured alive.

Of course ... once they had him alive in the helicopter, they should have beaten him once for every person who died on 9/11 and then thrown him out over the sea after setting him on fire.

But given the suffering this guy caused to innocent people, it's a pity that a bullet to the head is all he got.

I think Obama and the US showed great restraint and mercy.

I don't vote either way, but people who voted for DPJ must be extremely disappointed right now. I watched a bit of the diet on TV and got sick of the opposition repeatedly attacking Kan. Hardest job in the world right now.

But then to hear that 60 of his own party are after him, led by Hatoyama is really the end. Don't politicians have better things to do right now?

So now put another guy in, and then what? Call for HIS resignation in another 3 months. Fiddling while Rome burns.

You'd think this would be the last time to be playing games.
