That's truly normal! When one guy did whatever others hated like to name islets in disputed area, this kind of matters should be expected. I'm only disappointed that Taiwan didn't do anything to take part in the game.

Actually I feel Australia's been performing pretty good economically lately compared to Euro countries and the US, however even I don't know what's been already done, it seems Australia should do more for domestic aboriginal people like most of other countries did, for example, lower rate for bank loan, lower university entry requirements, free health insurance... etc.

What a great shame to be well-known for this incident, especially for a beautiful lady as prime minister. How to forget it is her next issue.

I believe nobody can blame aborigines for requesting more resource from government, I found some figures from net that Australia population increased from 2 million something to 24 million from 1800s. At the same time Aborigines decreased to 0.47M from 1 M as mentioned hereabove ! The reason caused a specific people so hard to survive in a country reavealed unfairness factors are there definitely. Aborigines only complain and protest for the same, I don't understand why some people here still want to blame them?

Definitely one of those most positive actions taken by the US. Why not the US to send more SEALS to take out more pirates even it's not their duty? I believe all the countries welcome this sort of action compared to not preferred ones which the US did a lot.

I believe "India-based Tibetan government-in-exile" should be responsible for the unrest and dead case, this organization is definitely a violant and terrorism type of organization since couple years ago when Dalai Lama stepped down from leader position. It's no doubt the organization back up the "attack type protest". Moreover, although China communist party is not good and deserved to be strongly criticized, however it should not be done by the US government who killed more innocent foreigners than any government and it is a bad example as well.

@ tmarie:
I think we should grade a (any) government base on more aspects so as to let people accept it, say, 20% for economic performance, 20% for management efficiency, 20% for democratic reform, 20% for education, 20% for science development... etc, this way your grading will be fair and your Chinese friends might accept your thought more easily. Chinese government get "F" for democratic reform, however it's other courses might be not that bad. However you grade it totally "F", for sure your Chinese students will be angry.

Actually Japan foreign minister welcome the election result. Usually, China/ the US/ JP... etc. won't agree at one matter all together. It's not common that this time everyone is happy, isn't it strange?

Taiwan needs to has real 2-parties competition political system. DPP needs to get stronger, Taiwan doesn't need DPP to become a "perminent opposition party". I hope DPP can really reshape its cross-strait policy to get more support so as to challenge KMT.

What we Taiwanese can do since it's Nixon promised and signed " contract" with Mao to confirm that "the US insists in that Taiwan is part of China and there is only one China in the world." So what we can do is to claim that China is part of ROC!
