It's naive and silly to expect to get your hands thoroughly clean at public washrooms and such places; there are hand gels available for carrying about although they're not 100pct efficient, but what is?? In any case, avoid touching your face at all costs, instead use a hanky/tissue. Masks are probably useless as many stressed, they're for those infected.

If worn by flu/cold infected subjects, the masks prevent the illnesses from spreading rather than protecting who's wearing them.
