Up until the point that a norovirus rampages through all the passengers, irrespective of whether they are in the ultra-deluxe class or not. Sudden storms and boring/irritating travelling companions can also not be avoided by paying a premium for "ultra-deluxe".
And then, if you come down with an illness that's too complicated for the ship's doctor to treat, they ditch you in some backwater and let your travel insurance company try to work out how to bring you back (assuming your condition isn't pre-existing).
Nope, you can count me out of a cruise. Actually, working in travel assistance has almost put me off ever wanting to travel again :-)

Because as we know, you need to eat quarter pounders if you want to get an Olympic medal....
Give me good old Kiwi Burgerfuel (one of their veggie or vegan burgers, for preference - totally Cleo-friendly) any day!

Indeed.
I think the idea is to reduce the stigma so people will actually bother getting tested. Not sure if it works....
Most (if not all) Japanese hospitals run tests for HIV, hepatitis and syphilis before patients are admitted for surgery, although I've not previously heard of people being quizzed about their sexual habits like ataro was.

Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are certainly a major focus for NEDO research, and there do seem to be a number of joint projects with major companies in the oil industry. Problems at the moment include finding a solution to hydrogen embrittlement (whereby hydrogen leaches into the materials from which tanks are made, causing the tanks to become more fragile) and finding cheaper alternatives to platinum that can be used as catalysts.
A lot of progress has been made so far, but there is still a great deal to do before hydrogen fuel cell cars become a viable commercial option.

Ouch! I note your comment didn't put anyone else off further "ist" comments, though. As soon as the Japanese industry groups that come up with stupid appellations like "best jeanist" cease and desist, we'll stop mocking them.
Anyway, to get back to the topic, I would recommend that anyone who likes the feel of fur gets themselves a cat rather than a fur coat.... (spoken as someone who has a timeshare cat - she lives with and is fed by our neighbours, but spends hours at our house every day - all the fun of having a cat, without the responsibility).

Silly boy should have bought space-travel insurance :-) (Can't wait till my company starts providing assistance services for those policies! "No, sir, the kidney stone was a pre-existing condition, so we can't cover the non-refundable deposit")

Nessie speaks words of wisdom (as ever) - enforce the existing statutes. Public nudity is unacceptable (outside of onsen, anyway), as is vandalism, and there are laws in place to deal with these.
Stopping people on suspicion of having the intention of being in the general vicinity of potential troublemakers is a bit Big Brother-ish. There are plenty of people who know how to have fun without breaking the law.

Poor sod. However, death might be preferable to being left in a coma with severe head injuries and little prospect of recovery, as in another Japanese RTA (not hit and run, admittedly) case I know of...
