Bush turned the US military into one huge penal colony basically. In order to feed the war machine and the Haliburton profits they scrapped the bottom of the barrel to fill the uniforms. A big chunk of recruits get passed on via wavers for drug offenses or other criminal activity. And then you give these guys training and a gun and let them fight in two immoral wars. No wonder things are screwed up. And will be for decades.
Solution, a draft so its not just the misfits who make up the military. Republicans will not let this happen cause if they do their easy path to failed wars will not be so easy any longer.

Of all the losers and liars in the republican race the Iowa republicans pick Santorum? He has the brains of Perry and the religious nuttiness of Palin.
In the end it does not matter as the Iowa beauty test has no meaning at all. Huckleberry hound won last time in Iowa and dropped out not to much later. McCain came in fourth and eventually won the nomination.

The republicans cannot even compromise with each other, they only know how to destroy the USA and the world economy. Wow, very rarely does this website get a guest post that is this accurate. The downfall of the USA does date back to Reagan and his assault on the middle class, his caving in to the religious right and his bankrupting the US government. It all started there.
And we are indeed in a bush depression just as back in the day the US endured a Hoover depression.

THe party of No says no to itself this time. The republicans in the senate vote for a measure and the republicans in the house vote it down. The republican party is doing more harm to the nation than OBL ever dreamed he could accomplish. The last budget standoff by the republicans cost the country trillions via the plunging stock market. Voting for republicans is a vote for China to take over the world economy.

Economics comes first. Japan needs oil but does not need to embrace all US policies. Koizumi sucked up to bush when he illegally invaded Iraq and for nothing for it, but now the DPJ is a little smarter.
So bush invaded iraq, which was no threat, and did not invade NK, which was and is a threat. Why, NK had nukes. Simple answer. Israel has nukes which the US helped to build. The US policy is all lies and PR. Its the pentagon again trying justify its trillion dollar budget of which half is pure graft.
