    What does this all mean, another landslide victory for Obama. Lets face it, he is the only thing preventing the republicans from driving the world economy to a full blown depression. Without Obama in the White House the USA is toast. He already saved the country once from the bush failures.

    Anyway, Newts 15 minutes of leading the pack is almost over. Who will be next? Maybe the Herminater can make a come back . . .

    Civilized countries recognize that hand guns in particular and guns in general are a public safety threat and need to be controlled strictly. Beyond this, gun nuts just repeat propaganda to themselves to justify the deaths that guns cause in society.

    The YG are arguably the most corrupt and poisonous organizations in Japan. NPB suffers from its corruption.

    To be clear, the HT are the most popular team in Japan. The Tokyo Dome only sells out when the HT come there to play, its half filled with Tiger fans. Of course Koshien sells out regardless of which team comes to play.

    Really, the YG should be banned from NPB for three years for corruption. Then NPB would really prosper.

    Beatles are not rock bank as others have said, I agree they are a pop band and the greatest band ever. But for best rock band, its Zep. G&R, recycled Zep. White Stripes, recycled Zep. Linkin Park, who cares. No band comes close to Page and company. 300 million albums sold. If they reunited and toured they would gross a billion dollars worldwide. Not likely to happen unfortunately as Page is on to other things.

    The Cain Train knew this was coming so they had a canned response. "Cain does not admit ____ by the no good woman ____ . . . and we want to move on to _____ as soon as possible.' Amazing.

    He knew about all the harassment he did and the adultery he committed and yet he had the massive ego to think he could still run for president. Typical republican. All talk, no reality.

    So as a former republican voter I am glad I left the sinking ship once bush took over. That was the beginning of the end of the GOP for sure. Palin drove the party down even more. So who is left to run, a serial sexual pervert, a guy who cannot remember three things, a doctor who would let patients die, two members of a church affiliated with polygamy, a disgraced and immoral former speaker of the house who was thrown out of his own party, and a few others who are not sane. Wow, the family values party has no values any longer.

    Allowing the Yaks into shrines is like letting child rapists into a school. The Yaks are parasites on society and should be treated as such. The comments on this board that laud the Yaks are sadly misplaced, you have watched too many fake movies about them.

    Also the bigger point here is that for law abiding folks who go to the shrine and get forced out by the Yaks there, well that is not a pretty picture at all. Normal Japanese law abiding folks do not like being around Yaks, period. Why should their shrine visit include fear of being there if the Yaks show up?

    The Yaks have their money, they can move on to the next target now that they bleed Olympus dry. They do ot care about the gaijin angle. The parasite is smartest when it does not kill the host, not the story this time however. They made the big score and now the company will likely collapse.

    Democrats always have to clean up for the republican debt festivals and deregulation orgies. Carter after Ford/Nixon, Clinton after the first Bush and now Obama after junior really screwed things up. Same story over and over.

    The Question, do not waste your vote. Voters for Nader in 2000 in Florida gave Bush the election, sort of. And we all know now what a disaster that turned out to be for the country.

    Thank you Koizumi for your winner dog, loser dog policy. You can apologize to the 2 million loser dogs whenever you have time. Maybe between hair appointments.

    Koizumi adopted the Bush economic strategy for Japan while PM. Japan now has record poverty rates, just like the US does. The US has 40 million in total, about one in eight.

    Tamagaboat, your history skips over WW2 and how the US set the framework for Japan to rebuild after being completely wiped out. Without access to US markets Japan would have never become number 2 economy, up through this year anyway. Funny your Japanese history misses from 1930 to 2011.

    Of course the black van crowd is aligned with farmers. That is the base of the LDP basically. Yaks and farmers.

    Japan can continue to sink economically or it can accept global trade on a full basis, not just where its of benefit to Japan Inc only. If not, then maybe Korea, who gets it, will annex Japan in a few years to save it from itself. That will really get the black van crowd going. Samsung can buy out Sony right now probably.

    What does lowering the 778% tariff on rice in Japan have to do with the price of a condo in Florida? Its amazing how misinformed people can become chasing their own tails. The fact is that TPP will up the Japan GDP by 1% or so, thats a $550 billion increase. That will go to productive firms that can compete on the global stage. The backward, corrupt agricultural industry needs to be reformed and it is clear that the LDP could not do it nor will they let the DPJ do it now. just the opposite the LDP pretended it was still 1960 for decades and kept the money flowing to the farmers. They have not changed farmer practices in over 50 years.

    Why should 99% of Japan pay to support corrupt 1% that will die out anyway in a decade or so? Its crazy to propose that. Absolutely crazy. Checking calendar, its 2011. Time to connect to reality folks. Japan has prospered greatly due to globalization after WW2, Japan cannot have it both ways any longer. Its not in Japans interests to do that any longer.

    Cain did not know that China is a nuclear power. They have had the bomb since 1964. To say he is ignorant is being kind, he just may be stupid. But that does not matter to the republican base who wants their candidates to be dim. That explains bush, quayle, reagan, perry, and on and on. They should just elect Tebow now. He is the perfect failure for them.
