All government functions need to moved out of Tokyo to Nagoya. Too much industry is concentrated in Tokyo for Japan's own good, plus the national government.
But like others have said this has been talked about for decades and nothing happens. It will take the great quake in Tokyo for anything to happen and then of course it will be too late.

Thanks to the tea party the US economy is now in a tailspin. First time very US bonds are downgraded, first time ever in the history of the country. The republicans, just like OBL terrorists, are out to destroy the US slowly but surely. S&P knows who is running the country now and they know more failure is coming as long as the tea bag party is calling the shots.

Thank you massive bush tax cuts for the rich and two unfunded loser wars for this downgrade and the embarrassment of the tea party loons taking the US economy to the brink and then beyond it. Markets down 10% based on the republicans bashing their own country like Benedict Arnolds that they are.
Any who votes for the tea bag party is signing their own termination form and driving the US economy into a deeper depression. History is repeating itself, todays republicans are repeating the actions of Hoover who pushed the US into the last great depression.
Obama and the democrats are the only thing preventing the top 1 percent in they US from owning 90 percent of the wealth and the rest of Americans working as wage slaves for next to nothing. Thanks republicans for turning the US into a banana republic. And to their voters who vote against their own financial interests.

Israel is a nuclear power, no one throws them under the bus.
The Obama plan is the plan that all parties other than Israel has already accepted. Everyone, Arab or not. The fact that the the State Terrorists Likud party sees that now means that politically the genocide of Israel is no longer an option. Palestine will soon be a formal recognized state via the UN.
The Christian rIght wIngers who suck up to Israel because they think the restoration depends on it are so far in their own make believe bubble of lies that nothing will help them see the injustice of the current israeli policies. But normal people can see this clearly.

So he accepts the Obama plan in the end, the only one that makes sense. They are really afraid of Palestine as a state being OKed by UN this fall.
How many lives were lost before Israel came to the only conclusion possible? Tens of thousands. For that history will never forgive them, they are still and will continue to be a terrorist state until a just peace is concluded.

The republicans cannot even say yes to themselves. The solution they want, anarchy. And if the US government failure to fund its debts does occur, the US and World economies will be dragged this time perhaps to depression levels. The republicans did this once under Hoover and now they will try to do it again. All to protect their rich puppet masters and failed trickle down economics.
The republicans are purely the party of destruction now. They are committing treason and should be in jail for these crimes against the state.

Can this type of thing happen in the US. It already has in 1995 with greater death toll. Will it happen again, of course. Republicans like to fix their make believe problems with violence.

Sure as if 50 million uninsured people in the US helps improve the longevity stats there. Conservatives live in a tiny magic bubble. The fact that Japan has universal health care contributes to the better health outcomes than in the screwed up mess that is healthcare in the US that Obama is fixing.

Japan is shrinking, not even Japanese think Japan is a successful nation. They are voting on that by not having kids. SK population is shrinking even faster than Japan.
Of course many right wingers in Japan would agree with these racist statements, as would many racists in the USA as well. In fact the manifesto included many quotes from US christian radical websites, some of which are now not up any longer as their owners must feel guilt at being quoted to justify mass murder of kids. All racist religious bigots are the same, no matter the country. They should all be put on a island somewhere so they can duke it out among themselves and leave kids alone.

Anders Behring Breivik, detained in the deadly Oslo bombing and shooting that has left 92 dead, has links to Norway's anti-government political group the Progress Party, according to the LA Times:

Looks like the American disease of targeting liberals, guns and religious hatred is spreading to other nations. This guys ramblings are unfortunately not unfamiliar to this board or to recent US events, like in Arizona. This manufactured crisis is now spiraling out of control. The republicans are using weapons of financial destruction against their own country, attacking it like OBL did on 9-11. Wow, first the republicans get a letter or thanks from the terrorist Gadhafi for supporting him in his quest to kill his own people, and now this. The Republicans are carrying out the OBL plan to bankrupt the USA. OBL wanted the USA to follow the path of Russia in Afghanistan. Obama killed OBL but the republicans are now doing the work of OBL for him. He must be laughing in his watery grave.
It is amazing how this is playing out, Republicans destroying America cause they hate their black President. The debt issue is fake, for decades the republicans ran huge budgets that did not balance. Bush was the worse and Reagan not much better. But now they use this issue to attempt to destroy the country.
The republicans created the first depression and now they are trying to do that again. It is simply amazing how screwed up they are and also that anyone, other than a derange billionaire, would vote for them at all.
