Kazuyuki Hoashi threw his second consecutive shutout and Hiroyuki Nakajima hit a two-run homer Sunday as the Seibu Lions routed the Orix Buffaloes 9-0 for their sixth straight victory. Hoashi (4-0) scattered five hits with two walks and five strikeouts at Skymark Stadium, helping Seibu move a season-high 13 games above .500 and stretch its Pacific League lead to six games.

In other PL games, Nippon Ham edged Softbank 4-3 and Lotte hammered Rakuten 6-1. In the Central League, Hanshin defeated Yokohama 3-1, Yomiuri outgunned Chunichi 9-3 and Hiroshima edged Yakult 2-1.
