Oh yes - and like smithinnjapan rightly points out above - another reason for the denial of a Security Council seat for Japan is because of the abuses of human rights in this country. China should also not have a seat for the same reasons.
Japan does not deserve a seat on the UN Security Council - but Germany does. Why? Because Germany has acknowledged its vile past and repented of it, while Japan tries to ddeny its past and cover it up.
