News outlets use the word 'allegedly' to cover their butts. If the news outlet writes "Mr. X killed Mr. Y." and then, if the arrested individual is found innocent, Mr X can then sue the news outlet for slander or libel…

I doubt a computer could "understand" the subtleties required in translating a language, but every translator injects some of their own opinions/bias when translating a literary text for example.
