I doubt if I'd be buying shares in a company with 60 million recalls worldwide. I just had my Takata airbag replaced.

He should be going to prison, not collecting a pay-cheque. And this is a Japanese-hint at resigning, meaning he'll cling to said pay-cheque and this is just lip-service until it's clear he's going to face some serious law suits and or charges. THEN he'll resign to get off the hook.
This company deserves to be shut down, permanently, and all money it has in savings be paid as compensation.
