You might say they're going in... different directions.

I knew it. When that Zayne guy went his own diresction, the rest were doomed because of popularity decline.

"take an indefinite break"

Maybe its my wonky engrish, but does 'indefinite' mean 'infinite'? Gee, I hope so

They have already made a fortune and will likely continue to do 0ok as solo artists...... Or at least one of them will (a la Robbie Williams). As long as they don't come in my direction, I am fine with that.

A wholly manufactured artifact, the demise of which won't leave the world any worse off. But at least they were chosen for, among other things, singing ability. Not the case with their equivalents in some countries we could mention.

The only boy band members I can think of that went on to become a global success as a solo artist were Justin Timberlake and Ricky Martin. Robbie Williams is not really too known outside of Europe and Oceania.

In theory, none of them have to work another day in their lives if they've got good financial advisers. They have the relative freedom to explore their passions, which may or may not end up being in the public eye. Good for them - whether you like their singing or not, show business is full of long days, and they've certainly put in a ton of work.
