Publications like Us Magazine make a fortune pandering to their readership's appetite for scandal and gossip, setting themselves up as self-appointed guardians of public morality. And now the culprits, subject, to the tyranny of the media, must publicly humble themselves. Very distasteful.

How about apologizing the the wife and kids of the married man you slept with. He didn't rape you or drug you. Last time I checked 22 was adult age. You just answered your own question, one single one was not. So what is the issue? The issue is that one has a family and the one that was single went into having the affair knowing the other had a family. When you have kids of your own you will understand what the issue is. The other issue is that it hurts people. Do you not care about the pain these people are in from being betrayed? You do realize that infidelity is one of the most painful if not the most painful experience, outside of losing ones kids, a person can go through.
