I used to ride on a track with some of those keirin guys. In a sprint, they will blow anyone away - never seen anything like them.

That statement only holds true from your parent's sentiment. When a nation is waiting on you as a beacon of "hope", what sort of hope will last place give to the broken fukushima? But no one said it had to be literally gold.

Sir Chris Hoy won Gold in the mens keirin and Kazunari Watanabe finished 11th.
