Models Yukiko Kawabe, 24, left, and Chika Nakagawa, 22, have been chosen as the new image girls for lingerie maker Triumph International Japan in 2016.
The two women, who were chosen from 124 applicants, will attend various events and take part in media campaigns to promote the company’s lingerie brand from Nov 1 to October 2016 under the theme "Empowering the World," Sankei Shimbun reported.
Kawabe is a graduate of Toyo University's science and engineering department, while Nakagawa currently studies foreign languages at Teikyo University.
Nakagawa will also represent Japan in the Miss World contest in China in November. She said she hopes to become the first Japanese girl to win the Miss World competition.

Empowering the world? Sorry, but you might need to point me in the right direction on that.

There are going to be some hard feelings from certain people who will whine that they are not old or plus size enough.

You seem to be unaware of how JT does news. The most recent article - regardless of importance - will appear at the top. As newer articles come in, they will replace the previous article at the top. In the case of the article you worked up so much bile over, it is now fourth from the top and probably by the time you read this it will have marched of the bottom of the first page. There are so many more legitimate things to get upset about these days than which news item is listed at the top of a news aggregate website's "National" section.
